I personally give 0 shit about his height.. 5'7 or 5'10 it ain't making much of a difference here. He's a slight guy so even if he was 5'10 he's going to have to defend and think the same way.
Every team in the league passd on drafting MSL..................................He goes on to the HOF and gives everyone the middle finger......
The height can be an issue, for most.....................but for some of those kids, they possess other talents, that helps them overcome another weakness.

As we all know, stay tuned, but it sure seems we have a real player on our hands here.

Moreso than his size, the thing that might hold him back from the NHL is his skating.

Not because it's bad, but he likes to have the puck on his stick and his skating might prevent him from keeping the same style in the pros that is making him so successful in the NCAA. If he alters his game in the pros, will there be enough in there to make the NHL as a 5'5 D?

What's encouraging about Hutson is that he's dominating the NCAA with the exact same style of play he had in the USDP, there's always concerns with young freshman D that they will be overcoached and take a while to come out of their offensive shells. Hutson plays with extreme confidence and looks to create goal scoring chances every shift.

I was a huge Lane homer pre draft, and while I was wrong about where we would pick him (wanted him with CGY pick), he has still surpassed my D+1 expectations of him. I was begging people to watch Cooley and Nazar's highlight tapes because no matter who was being featured, Hutson was always keeping plays alive and making the other players look good. I watched a few minutes of Cooley's tape and it seemed like Hutson was the one driving all the offense.

I think his offense was really projectable to the superior level. Even in the NHL, I think he could become special with the puck. He is too sneaky and smart. Every moves are calculated with the puck, always thinking one step aheah.

The question mark is and will always be defensively...

He doesn't look like a stud defensively from what I've seen but for a freshman D it doesn't look bad to me.

What I got my fingers crossed for is a Caufield like leap from D+1 to D+2. Where he fleshes out his game and gets faster. You don't produce the way he is at this level without being pretty damn special.

He’s pretty good defensively, he was in the USDP and still is now in the NCAA but yeah at the next level it’s still a question mark. I’d say he’s better defensively than Quinn Hughes was at the same age. He will need to get stronger physically but it comes naturally.

He already has more goals than Makar's year as a freshman, not that he's Makar lol, but dam impressive

We certainly have good farm system. Everyday I come in here it's positive posts about Beck,Heineman, Mailloux, Hutson, Mesar. Well we drafted high this draft plus traded good players for extra picks. Guys like Toffoli, Lekhonen. Only makes sense.

Hmm, more like junior PK Subban.

Just tuned into ESPN+, Peter Griffin calling the game lol.
Really? How? The games aren't remotely close in style. Where's the link for you?
