short fresh interview with anže kopitar, for slovenian national tv.

source: Kopitar zadovoljen predvsem z drugim delom sezone

transcript:

The season was very, to not brag too much, very confident. We never fell behind the playoffs at any point in the season, which wasn't the case in previous years.

I went into this season quite optimistically, it may not have looked the best at the beginning, but then I somehow caught my rhythm and the second part of the season all came together.

The most enjoyable part is about to begin now. I think it's going to be a good series, and I also think that if we play the way we should or the way we know how to, it could be interesting, and of course, we hope for our success.

Doughty reminds me of the bigmouthed kid on the playground that challenges everybody and then hides behind the biggest guy when they come sfter him.

First rule: DONT tell them, yeah we're here to kick your ass

Legit feels exactly like last year when we didn't have much of a chance without Doughty and RV.

Now they have those guys back in--plus Gavrikov--but no Fiala or Vilardi. Didn't have Fiala or Vilardi last year either and it still went seven games; however, Edmonton is better and it doesn't look like the Kings will be the beneficiary of any Mike Smith specials. Series usually don't go seven games when one team scores 27 to the other's 17 either.

Kings are down two first round picks plus Faber and it feels like I've taken a time machine back to exactly one year ago.

f***ing sucks man.

Apparently he was seen reading the Art of War by Sun Tzu.

Picture book edition.
Yes heard that.. Also someone saw this one toward end of flight (apparently getting in knots over strategy)

Who is not there, he is not there. The team will be fine with a proper attitude. Their season starts today. What happened before is irrelevant. It's all about attitude.
Which is why it's so damn morose around here.

The Kings have no one to retaliate or do anything. Thank Rob Blake.

Durzi is the toughest player when MacEwen isn't in the line-up. And the next toughest is the leading goal scorer. Pretty pathetic.

When did our medical staff become incompetent? What are we the Penguins? It was a dumb move playing Gabe and Kev so soon after their injuries

Smith had close to .940 save percentage in round 1 last season. He was a big reason the Oilers beat the Kings. Who knows what Skinner does? Hopefully, he pulls a Jim Carey and stinks after a good regular season.
