He has had issues with his hip - should be back this week sometime.
Thanks for that. I guess we just wait and see, eh?

Meier-Hughes-Clarke sounds like a nice fourth line in 2023-24.Seems like it’s doubtful it’ll happen this year unless injuries strike, but I really am interested to see how Clarke looks at the NHL level.
He just looks to be a simple forward with a knack for scoring off his chances. Feels like he’s the type of forward who can carve out a role on this team, especially with our complete lack of RHS forwards.
I do think he made it easier for the Devils to move Zetterlund, as I could see him being an almost direct replacement next year.
Played against Brock U. decades ago in the St. Catherines arena. Is that arena still there? It was old and was decorated with photos of all the Chicago Balckhawks who had played there as Jrs. Was quite an impressive display. I beat them. Believe the score was 3-1. I know they only beat me once. I was pelted with eggs late in the 3rd. When the game ended, the unhappy Brocksters started a brawl. They arena people turned out the lights over the ice surface, played both Canadian and US National anthems, escorted us off the ice, arranged for a police escort for us to the border. Pretty cool memory actually.Speaking of Adirondack, in 2018-19 current Golden Knights goalie Logan Thompson played eight games with the Thunder (and one with the Binghamton Devils) following his college season with Brock.
Didn't realize that.
Thank you for your recaps! Could Halonen be a fine depth guy for the Devils eventually? 16 goals in 55 games so far isn’t bad for a first year pro. Is he a physical guy? Good defensively? Curious to read your thoughts about his potential.2nd PP in a little over 3 minutes. 1st was impotent.
Faceoff won
Puck drops in front off a Clarke shot and it's cleared.
Clarke gets it in close and he's stopped.
Russo a wrister from the point and it's gloved easily.
Draw wonWalsh a 1-timer wide and Halonen shoots the wide collection also wide.
Another dud PP.
Comets roll it in front but lack of puck skills result in no shot.
Halonen off the left wing barges in front and ..................................

2-1 Comets
17:01
Nemec tripped behind his net and it's another PP. That's 3.
If they don't capialize it won't work out well for them because the Rocket are going to get their share.
2 shots and cleared. Primeau is good.
Cleared.
Holtz shoots wide.
Holtz shot deflected.
Period ends and the PP has :41 to go.
2-1Comets after 1
SOG:
14-7 Comets
Engaras all alone and his shot goes wide.
He is signed for next season.Thank you for your recaps! Could Halonen be a fine depth guy for the Devils eventually? 16 goals in 55 games so far isn’t bad for a first year pro. Is he a physical guy? Good defensively? Curious to read your thoughts about his potential.
Thanks for the writeup! Greatly appreciated! He is signed for next season.
He has a good shot.
Is not a good puck handler.
Is not strong in aspect of physical play - board battles, forecheck, coverage in his zone.
He is meh defensively.
Maybe another season could work on that.
He turned 24 in January. Not a lot of time for him to make an impression in NJ.
My guess is he will be an AHL career player.
I hope he proves me wrong. He has come a long way here in the 2nd half as far as putting up points.
