I don't hate it. He is going to get games in and have a chance to show what he has. This is surprisingly the Kings handling a 1st round pick the same way that I think most other teams would, which is a pleasant surprise after the debacles with Turcotte and Byfield.

The most Kings thing to do with Clarke would have been to send him back to the OHL and then insist he starts next year in the AHL.

So it's nice to see a more traditional development path for a high pick.

I dunno. If you’re going to tease the idea that he’s an nhl player, play him. Otherwise you’re not showing confidence in him IMO.
