I was just about to post something similar. Let's all try to remember that one game does not a season make! We absolutely smoked the Knights like 7-1 on opening night last year then lost seven straight as everything seemingly fell apart.

What I actually did say numerous times was if the Kings score 250 goals they will very likely make the playoffs, and then made a projection with the Kings scoring 253 goals. But of course pathetic clowns like yourself won’t bother to deal in factual things actually said because it’s more fun to just make stuff up.

I really don't understand how this narrative that you aren't a Kings fan or that you want the Kings to fail got started. You provide a lot of great insight, even if I don't always agree with you. But if we all agreed on all the things all the time, this would be a pretty f***ing boring forum. But I think you're being treated unfairly and I hope some of the mods here will actually do something about some of the folks ruining it for the rest of us. These personal attacks need to stop, it feels like death by a thousand cuts.

Bro I’m just hoping Byfield looks better this season. Dudes got me a bit worried as to what he becomes. I know it’s a little bit early but I think seeing signs of something special isn’t too much to ask.

I really don't understand how this narrative that you aren't a Kings fan or that you want the Kings to fail got started. You provide a lot of great insight, even if I don't always agree with you. But if we all agreed on all the things all the time, this would be a pretty f***ing boring forum. Thanks for the kind words. You (like 99% of people) are able to have constructive conversations without resorting to name-calling or making stuff up, and I appreciate that.

We all don’t have to agree, like you said, that is the great thing about a community like this, the diversity of opinions. Heck, I don’t even care if everyone is overly nice. I think a guy like GBH could do without sone of the angry stuff, but at least his debates with me are grounded in facts and he argues me on things I actually say and doesn’t make things up like certain other people do.

My gripes with the Kings are almost exclusively around unorthodox development decisions. I have said numerous times I didn’t agree with the decision to end the rebuild but that Blake has done an excellent job adding pieces to make the team competitive. But that is never acknowledged by people like those 2, they just want to believe what they want to believe.

Unfortunately there isn’t much the moderators can do because there is no rules violation for making things up or saying people said things they didn’t.

Although for me I’d rather be called a bleeping moron (rules violation) for something I actually said than have someone claim I said things I never did (not a rules violation)

I'd argue the repeated making up of bullshit and completely twisting peoples words to the point where even a mod here acknowledges it's a common occurrence can be argued as trolling:

I venture to guess that the bickering is caused by the kids enduring the offseason - with not enough to talk about.. its like a family trip when all the brothers and sisters go at each other on way to yellowstone.. Once there all is forgotten.

Dude, anyone who is not an appeal to authority Muppet AKA team rainbows and unicorns the organ-eye-zation is always right, is not a true Kings fan. Never mind that some of us have been on this damn forum for almost 20 years rooting for the Kings but whatever.

The Kings trying to get their 9 games worth with Clarke. If he played tonight they'd be down to 8 and a game closer to having to actually make a decision on him.

I think the more interesting thing is how Walker has been touted as being a good option on the left side because he could play left and right well. Then game one starts and immediately he's playing on the right side of Edler.

Listening to ATKM podcast, it makes sense that Walker is going to be rested a decent amount of games because they don't want to test his knee on an 82 game schedule. Enter Clarke to play on those back to back games.

I don't hate it. He is going to get games in and have a chance to show what he has. This is surprisingly the Kings handling a 1st round pick the same way that I think most other teams would, which is a pleasant surprise after the debacles with Turcotte and Byfield.

The most Kings thing to do with Clarke would have been to send him back to the OHL and then insist he starts next year in the AHL.

So it's nice to see a more traditional development path for a high pick.

I think the boards are a lot better now that every mod isn’t power tripping. You could get banned for disagreeing with a mod back in the day. At least you can just ignore the people you don’t like. Win win
