Goddamn NHL.tv app here in Europe inserts a goddamn static frozen screen for 17 straight minutes for the entire duration of intermission, leading you to believe that the stream must have collapsed. (And sometimes it does, but there's no way to see it.) For most Bally broadcasts, we do get intermission content, but unlike in previous seasons, no pregame and no postgame.

No one does this anymore, it’s 2023 not 1973.

And the game is much better for it. The players respect each other, and don’t want to see their own star players get retaliated against and injured.
