Shoulda been at least a 2 for ruffin a ragamuffin when he dropped the gloves and put his fists up in Lizos face.
Instinctive reaction by Lizzo but he shoulda cross checked the chest not the face.

drop em and square up, he's half your size

that's equally no excuse for lizotte getting his stick up THAT high since he's so small

I agree but in context Lizzo beelined to him. You don’t do that unless you want to fight. Lizzo was posturing and that guy wasn’t.

i mean yeah but you also don't give a guy a 2 hander to the shinpads and let him circle around without being ready

shake em or something, let him know, don't give him an excuse to come in stick first

He's very funny to watch, it's actually kinda crazy he made it to the NHL with his skill level. When people say we need toughness I just want another Grundy not an enforcer who can't even fight right now

The whole “you wanna go thing” is more so the goon shit where they fought because it’s their role to randomly fight. There’s no context behind it so the whole old school shaking the glove thing was relevant. Now when someone is messing with you and you turn around and skate up to them that is the equivalent of saying you want to fight. You don’t just do that. Lizzo acted like he wanted the smoke when he turned around completely and went up to that guy.

I would really love a point blank reasoning from coach why this is happening. It just feels like Arty is dying on the vine.

Lizzo has to bring them up that high just to reach shoulder height. The refs missed the slash, got the crosscheck, then missed the retaliation.

Yet the 2nd unit got a PP goal, the 4th line is spending much less time hemmed into their zone than at any point in the season, and the team is playing really well.

Funny.
 
There must be some unrelated hockey issue that Todd has with Kaliyev that makes him mistreat Kaliyev so much

Its nice to see fair and balanced posting.
Calling the sub par when it is sub par.
Calling the good when its good.
Not always being on one side like a political party.
Not scanning the entire organization for a little chink in the armor to criticize.
I may not always agree but when I see this ,
I see credibility and I respect it.
I them take a closer look at exactly the points the particular poster makes.
Hey the playoffs is crunch time honesty is valued but so is flexibility and not being one sided.
