Not sure what you were watching but I remember Fox saying multiple times he agreed with the major.

Just to prove my point, fox basically repeated his word salad excuse making about lizotte’s penalty on the pre game show for the st louis game. Armstrong even said that that morissey was not hurt. I guess 18 stitches to the chin and inside his mouth is uninjured to that brain dead mf. I was pretty amazed to be hearing this crap and with fox doubling down on his homerisim and idiocy my level of disgust towards thier lack of professionalism went up a quantum leap.
Why i was wasting time watching this low grade bs is another question

Fox said initially he thought Lizotte was trying to protect himself, he never said Lizotte didn't deserve the penalty.....

Everyone saying it was dumb on Lizotte, which I get, but if you watch it, he doesn't go over there to cross check him in the mouth, he goes to confront him, and when Morrissey lunged at him he brought his stick up.....not sure if the 5'7 guy going to confront the 6'1 guy who has 40 lbs is the best idea......but....that's what he did.....if Morrissey doesn't lunge at him the way he does, I don't think Lizotte cross checks him at all......

Dude, watch the video.....out of all the times that Lizotte has been hammered, has he ever intentionally cross checked someone in the face? f***ing common sense is lost on you.

i guess if he's arguing rulebook semantics that's fine but the rulebook last i checked was an automatic game misconduct for a major crosscheck (severity) and a match penalty if the ref rules it deliberate. not sure what the real world difference is between a game mis and a match penalty but yeah, rulebook semantics is my best assumption

i dunno foxy could probably stand to pipe down about it, i think both players are to blame to some extent for not squaring up since there was ample time, but there's no excuse for getting your stick that high and lizotte knew it
