Im not sure why this is directed at me.. Koala is about as far as I go with the nicknames. I mean there is a resemblance right? I dont think its that bad.. I doubt he would be butthurt over that nickname.
Wow you can’t even make a little harmless joke without backlash from the Todd Squad now?

On an unrelated note: it’s been theorized that koala bears instinctively go dormant for the playoffs.

I'm not directing at you. You asked me a question, I'm just answering it.

Calgary is a bigger team. I get the reason but I just don’t care all that much about MacEwen. Can’t even fight so I guess the expectation is to hit and grind.

I just think that fourth line was clicking and shouldn’t be f***ed with.

Guess it will be when Fiala comes back anyway.

Just want Kaliyev in come playoffs.

Yeah me too, but who do you sit LK88? This is w/o our best forward, Fiala , so sit 2

Right this moment? Iafallo and MacEwen.

Let Alex rest for a few games then maybe start rotating him with Grundstrom till he can find his mojo again if and when the 4th line dips.

But you don't break up a 4th line that's going HAM because you need a guy to play 7 minutes and get punched in the face

Certianly guys will trail off and thenyou start rotating Iafallo JAD and MacEwen in, even Walker and Edler. But why break it when it works?

Out of curiosity, for the folks who gripe every time someone in here questions a lineup decision, do you have your own thoughts on what the lineup should look like? Any time MacEwen is in over Kaliyev or JAD, is it because you think MacEwen is a better option than those two? Any time Walker is in over Spence, is it because you think Walker is the better player?

As for D....no....I don't really wonder, Walker/Spence, tomato/tomatoe...

As far Kaliyev, I wonder if his foot his giving up problems......until he broke his foot, he was playing in every game.....so there is clearly something there....

Grundy had a monster game last game. He needs to carry this energy to the end of the season and into the playoffs. We are going to get rag dolled without putting up a fight if we don't have at least 1 player throwing some hard hits through the body.

whoops, I think I forgot to answer this question. Surprisingly...NO, I'm not a relative of TM, I'm just not an asshole.
Lmfaooo. Show us a DNA test.

Free speech, sure. But it isn't really free on this board, is it? If I call you a dipshit, I would get banned. So, why is it cool that we call the head coach of our favorite team those same names.

I was referred to earlier as giving a blumpkin to TM. Do you know what a blumpkin is?

Question all you want, but try and be respectful is all I'm saying.
You’re the most disrespectful poster on this board so it’s ironic you’re crying for something that you give none of lol.

So 4 votes for Iafallo, I personally agree, but I don't think the Koala would ever sit him.

The front office has had a fascination with him for years I think it would take another injury or him really really sucking to be sat

Even though i think Metallica fell off a cliff after And Justice for All....
This is the truth with the front office and Iafallo

If only Byfield could play center. At this point I’d sit Iaffalo but they never will.

Kupari I’m still not sold on but he has been ok in that role.
Kupari is great on the PK, good on forecheck, and skates well with solid one on one moves.. what he lacks is vision on offense - its like he's in a phone booth and doesnt see the rest of the ice while he's carrying the puck...i see him skate through the neutral zone w out losing the puck similar to Fiala - but thats where the similarity ends after entering the o-zone.

Fiala is an east west skater, Kupari north south, that's the main difference, Kupari has vision, but he doesn't use it to his advantage......but holy f*** the kid's a jackrabbit, his stops and starts, are probably the best on the team

Yes and thus the name 'Iafalloff' - enter night, exit life, take my hand off to waiver waiver land

yes he has the one on one that is top 6 for sure.. the main difference is that Fiala sees plays in the o-zone that Kupari doesnt. He also has the crosby-like stop and starts that shed defenders in the o-zone. I dont see Kupari doing that much.

wish it wasn't like that.. no more than a few weeks ago jon cooper benched stamkos, kucherov, point for a period.. slightly better players than iafallo

i don't necessarily want a pure meritocracy because that stifles development but iafallo's kinda sucked for kind of a long time. there need to be consequences for that

Indeed

He was an okay player on a really bad team and now he is an okay player on what looks to be a really good team

Lucic is out so Calgary may have size but not a lot really a physical pressence. Zadorov is not scaring anyone

Who do I sit to get Fiala and Kaliyev in? Are Grundtrom and Macewan not the easy answers?

I'm not a huge Iafallo proponent, but that third line has produced great results. If everyone is healthy, gonna be a tough call:

Kupari absolutely has the stops and starting ability that Fiala does, what he doesn't have is the rubber legs, and the edge work that Fiala does....

He has the vision.....but he doesn't use it a lot, he's such a linear player right now.....

Iafallo is underrated IMO and should stay in the lineup till Kaliyev or someone else forces him out. I don't think we are there yet.

He's still young but I project him bottom 6 due that myopia with the puck. Ill be happy to be wrong... but checkout his numbers since youth, he's never put up numbers at any level...I do think its possible he becomes a Kempe type player big strong wing with speed on the edges... will need to work on his shot for that.

The whole point is to troll and police people’s opinions with mockery and disrespect. Nothing of substance is ever shared. The irony is that they tell people to stop crying while all they do is cry about people crying.
