jesus titty f***ing christ

i don't know why it surprises me anymore but we have to do literally everything the hardest possible way

just makes no sense at all. that line as a whole on a major heater, kaliyev playing some of his best hockey, looks like he finally "trusts" the 4th line.. benched after a PPG he had nothing to do with, press box

spence +2, only one real miscue, press box

if you want to rotate players in, that's one thing, rotate out players who deserve to be rotated out then..

Hell yeah. Can't wait for the MacEwen to play his 07:45 minutes tonight. Flames are a tough team and I'm sure they'll be shaking in their boots at the possiblity the 4th line could jump over the boards at any given moment provided the Kings are up by 4+ with 5 minutes to go.

This game is a must-win. Calgary is the 9th place team, four points out of a wildcard with one game in hand, and if we win we'll be 15 points ahead of them with 11 games to go. That would mean that if we lost all 11 games remaining, they would need to go 7-3-1 to tie us at 92 points. More importantly though, Edmonton and Seattle are hot on our tails and we're only two points behind Vegas for first in the West.

We have to win 5 of our last 12 games to reach 100 points on the season, which is certainly achievable. We finished with 105 points in 1974-75, and would need to go 7-4-1 over our next 12 points to match that. Not impossible either.

Just. Win.

Spence should be in over Walker, Edler and Durzi (when Healthy). How is it out is beyond me. Hell i would put Spence in over Roy, not that I am saying Roy should be benched at all.
it's wild, right? Spence passes both the eye test and the analytics test with flying numbers. Tough to understand outside of "NHL experience," but there's only one way to accumulate that.

40-20-10, how's that for clueless.

I'm still waiting for you to explain TMs overtime player/lineup/time utilization.

Or does that extra 1 point not matter because we're already contending for a playoff spot, better than last year and near 1st place? Oh wait, maybe that does it explain it -- sounds just like what someone would say who is up 3-0 in a playoff series (only to lose game after game and choke it away). Now it makes perfect sense.

Tell me about it....imagine where would be if he just did what the fans wanted......we'd be what....60-10......that'd be freaking amazing.....

I'm not going to critique the line up choices much. We're seventh overall in the league with goaltending that was pretty much complete ass for a good chunk of the season. The line up that's played has managed to help Phoenix Copley look like a legit NHL starter somehow.

Todd's has largely always done well in the regular season, the playoffs is where we really should be analyzing things more given his limited success there.

Sorry, doesn't work that way, if you don't get instantly pissed when something you don't like happens, you are just a fanboy who will believe anything that you are told by the "man" err...organization....

We don't need to wait for a 2nd year of playoffs to analyze the same mistakes he made last year, last playoffs, and all this year. It's pretty clear he's not suddenly going to change.

The point isn't that the team sucks, the point is exactly your concern--we are worried about the playoffs and the team being glass ceiling-ed by bad decisions.
