My thought is he hasnt gotten enough time

At times that has certainly been true. He started moving up in ice time against Seattle on November 19th, and was getting good ice time through his injury - especially in December. He had 6 points in 15 games, 3 on the PP. The 19 games before that when he was getting reduced ice time on the lower lines, he had 13 points, 6 on the pp.

He's done this since he came into the league. He plays great on the 4th line, but when he moves up his production dries up. I chalk most of that up to the big discrepancy in effort, he has a much better motor on the bottom lines. That was absolutely one of his warts when he was drafted, and you can see it in his game. He's still young so he's thinking too much and he's standing around too much with skilled players waiting for the pass rather than creating.

He'll get it in time. What I would do is have him watch RV over, and over, and over. That guy is a maniac on the ice, an absolute puck hound. He never takes a shift off, I don't think I've ever seen him look fresh when he comes off the ice. The same thing happened with Gabe too, he stopped thinking so much and bumped up the effort on pursuit and along the boards. If Arty had RV's motor he'd get close to 50 points. He's not the biggest guy but he's got a wicked shot like Arty and he's relentless. You don't score 34 goals in 58 games without it.

I dpn't know what Arty ever did to Durzi but Sean just won't pass to 34, esp on PP. It is so maddening...esp because Arty's shot is lethal and made for one-timers on PP. Almost every shot he takes, regardless of situation is tough for the goalie to handle and often produces an unexpected rebound. Hence, perfect for PP...but Durzi always passes to 24 on the left...barely ever to Arty.

Was watching that the other night, I think it's got something to do with the handedness....passing to Danault and back does not require anything except the pass, passing to Kaliyev in that positon A. puts the puck closer to the PKer's , and he's forced to switch his feet........so it's much easier for everyone to see it coming....

Gonna have to go with Durzi Edler or Walker. Itll be fluid though so whoever is in the lineup having a worse game.
Wouldnt mind Arvidsson taking a little more heat. Guy falls down when someone breathes on him. Sometimes looks like he falls on purpose to protect himself. He produces and is responsible though so you cant hate him.
Durzi, and there’s no close second.

The Gavrikov-Roy pairing has 16min TOI so far, with an xGoal% of 95.2

That's #1 in the NHL. Regardless of minutes played.

Curious to see how they do tonight.
Gavrikov reminded me of Muzzin at times last game. I swear Blake has got to sign that guy.

I keep seeing people say this. Then I keep seeing Durzi pass to Kaliand Kaliyev f***s it up.

And I love Kaliyev.

Also, haven’t seen if it was discussed, but we are 2 games into the Gavrikov era and Durzi’s minutes have been reduced. Let’s see if that continues.

Between the Kings having the 3rd best powerplay in the league and JQ being a Golden Knight, I feel like I've slipped into another universe.

Predicting a chippy game tonight, should be a good one.

Das kapitals are commie cheap shots
Lets kick thier asses tonite

Would have bestowed the "loving" smilie on this noble and precisely worded sentiment, but was (once again) deprived by the KGB of the liking ability for months ahead, meaning I gotta be brutish and negative all the time now (given that "liking" things and expressing appreciation is verboten), so all I gotta say is, "LET'S GO!" One hour to puckdrop, two hours to breakfast.

I do not, he's not looked his best the last 3 games. But last weekend he looked great against both New York teams. Should we always sit guys who don't play good for a handful of games?
Yes.

all of us have to go to work Monday to Friday and perform every day, not just Tuesdays and Wednesdays

What is Patty O off to baseball?
Bring back Army!

Yes.

Most of these guys seem retired thus the frequent flier miles used as plane crash posts.

Caps still a decent team. Going to be a hard fought victory if they can pull it off. Ok gotta come up big with the Russian Sniper in the building.

Good luck icing a roster, then. On any given night only a handful of guys are truly on, a handful of guys are having off days, and the rest are meh.

I wish I got sat if I wasn't up to scratch at work, I'd make sure I suck enough not to get fired but still get benched once in a while.
