It’s just stupidity. I’m all for the Kings starting Quick once they’ve clinched but they’re not in a spot to be throwing points away to make quick happy at MSG? That’s peak stupidity. They shouldn’t have started him.

As bad as Quick has been I still can’t fathom why the likes of Spence and Clarke are riding pine while Walker Edler and Durzi just continue to destroy the defense.

Quick being a menace to the chances of success is (sort of) understandable, because there is no internal option that is measurably better.

Edler & Walker stinking up the joint where there are internal options that are miles ahead of either of them, is actively sabotaging the chances of the Kings.

I don't disagree. He's not bailed the team out, and he's allowed what I think is 1 bad goal.

Durzi has merit, it's just his deployment. A lot of his gaffes, like his infamous giveaway in the 1st game, or last game being out there during the PK, are ones that he shouldn't be making cause he shouldn't be in those situations in the first place. It reminds me a bit of Justin Schultz, everyone wanted him to be EDM's 1D, used in all circumstances, but he simply wasn't good enough defensively and everyone figured he was a failure of a player. Then he goes to PIT where Sullivan deployed him like an offensive specialist D and suddenly he wasn't a problem anymore.
