We were right there
Good thing there aren't any great teams in the western conference.
Let's remember that when you see a MacKinnon-Makar power play bearing down on Copley.

If the Kings make it to the conference finals, is that really a failure for the Kings?Let's remember that when you see a MacKinnon-Makar power play bearing down on Copley.
It will be for the #clownshow around here. The same group bitching about how much better the Kings SHOULD be are the same ones that will tell you the Ducks are 'rebuilding' the right way. LOLzIf the Kings make it to the conference finals, is that really a failure for the Kings?

There isn't a single good goalie in the Pacific with Thompson out. It is a clear issue for any playoff team from the Pacific. That wasn't what I was responding to.
I think a successful season needs a step forward, I'm satisfied with round 2.
Right now we'd be squared up with Seattle, who we haven't beaten this year. You should always be worried about your playoff opponent (or respect them, whatever word you choose), but you shouldn't be able to pick out such clear achilles heels, either.
The only clown show will be from those who don't understand that the how the Kings make the playoffs and advance in the playoffs is more important at this stage, than how far they go in the playoffs. It will be for the #clownshow around here. The Kings aren’t even sniffing a playoff spot without those so-called ‘paid for’ forwards and Kopitar. They would be exactly where the Ducks are - losing every game in an embarrassing fashion sucking all the potential confidence out of their souls. Yah, what a rebuild. The only clown show will be from those who don't understand that the how the Kings make the playoffs and advance in the playoffs is more important at this stage, than how far they go in the playoffs.
The Kings are not Stanley Cup contenders. If the kids are front and center in a deep run, then great. If the Kings are relying on the bought and paid for middle six forwards, plus Kopitar for advancement, not so great.

Copley was still in Ontario the last time the Kings played Seattle so the 0-1-2 record might not reflect how the teams match up now.
We don’t even need a trade. We have Bjornfot as a clear upgrade over Edler but he’s just getting splinters in his ass while Gollum on skates gets abused night in night out.The Kings played really well, they seem cursed in that building lately.
However, if Edler sees any ice in the playoffs it's 100% on Blake. Even if the higher end options don't work out, just trade a draft pick to someone to get a competent LD on an expiring contract that can play 15 minutes and not be a total liability. We are in big trouble if we draw Edmonton and Edler is playing, him vs McDavid would be like having a defensive tackle covering Tyreek Hill.

Don't worry!Which is exactly my worry re: Copley and the playoffs.
"good enough" is for the regular season. "good enough" isn't vs. a great team for 7 games.
Don't worry!
We still got Quick and can call up Cal, Hrenak and Villalta and Ranford
Agreed...He has 10 goals this year -- 8 on the pp.
Agreed...
Season TOI only 12.11 (I don't know where to find 5on5 TOI vs PP TOI), CF% 52,6, 2+ shots/game
vs Minn 8:51 TOI
Disgusting...
