I guess I misunderstand the Kings, who are creative, adapt brilliantly on the fly and think outside the box.

For those who were too young or weren't paying attention, the Hawks were completely f***ed with Hossa's last year coming where he was only owed $1m but was like $5m or something against the cap. Oh my gosh, this guy who played in 90% of the regular season and 100% of playoff games only 3 months before all of a sudden gets rashes from pads and they get out of the situation and sign players they need. I went crazy to all my Hawk fan friends...it was crystal clear what they were doing. But they figured out how to make it work to try and keep winning. With Seabrook too, who had the worst contract in hockey, worse even than Brown's. Bingo big cap hit off the books.

Actually the Hawks haven't been good since Hossa retired. They got rid of Seabrook in July 2021, and have sucked the last 2 years. What are you talking about?

I mean we don’t measure up to the top 20% of teams. Anything can happen in a seven game series but Boston, Tampa, Dallas, Carolina, Toronto… these teams are just better than we are. The good news is we match up against anyone in the Pacific, so a conference final isn’t totally out of the question.

Wo, I don't think we are all that because of goaltending. God Bless Pheonix but not sure how much NHL playoff experience he has, none to not much. It would be story book for Quick to get it back together or even play like he did against Edmoantown. But I wouldn't bet a dime despite sentimentality.

but the poor d in front off both guys doesn't help. goal 1 and 2 were off of bad mistake by the d, forcing a save that shouldn't need to be made. goal 3 was bad luck right to Perry. This game looks a lot like the ones in Nov.

Because if they aren’t, then they need to continue to build out slowly and have a competitive team when Byfield and kids are ready to lead.
This Kopitar/Doughty/Quick team is getting one last hurrah but it’ll be with what’s here now. Again, I don’t understand the quote when it clearly doesn’t apply to this f***en team, you need to be realistic and understand where this team is at this point in time
