I mean we don’t measure up to the top 20% of teams. Anything can happen in a seven game series but Boston, Tampa, Dallas, Carolina, Toronto… these teams are just better than we are. The good news is we match up against anyone in the Pacific, so a conference final isn’t totally out of the question.

Watching two dmen play a 2 on 2 by going to the shooter and laying down to block the pass tells me that no one trusts quick, which compounds everything. Normally you try to take away the shot or the pass..these guys are saying 'we can't let you shoot and if the pass goes thru it's in anyway so f*** it.'

We are trapped from making any moves because of Quicks $5m..creative teams the last 10 years have found ways out of bad contracts that have worn out their usefulness. I am suggesting they need to do the same with 32.

That may means making some short term gambles.
Because of this and our zero goalie pipeline, Copley should have been signed cheap after his 3rd or 4th game.

We all knew this was going to be the toughest game against the one of the best teams. Back to back vs 2 days rest. It shows. I expected them to lose this one, no matter who's in net. Copley ain't saving any of those 3 goals. this team is playing a bad game.

I agree. But I'm responding to the idea that the Kings don't measure up vs. the elite of the elite, when clearly that wasn't the issue. Goaltending IS part of the team and its achilles heel that 1st period for sure.

Really annoying that this team is a simple .910 away from being an absolute juggernaut. Imagine getting a .920 like the top 10 or so. Unreal!

Blake is better off waiting til the right time to trade any serious assets,

but the poor d in front off both guys doesn't help. goal 1 and 2 were off of bad mistake by the d, forcing a save that shouldn't need to be made. goal 3 was bad luck right to Perry. This game looks a lot like the ones in Nov.

I think to me it’s pretty clear who here has played competitive sports vs who hasn’t. Quick is notoriously bad in the first period. If your goalie is a pylon it’s becomes unbelievably hard to generate momentum and compete because while you work for a goal the other team doesn’t have to
