Bjornfot makes a bad read. Kaliyev wasn't fast enough to neutralize the Carolina attacker. Quick couldn't make the save.

I don't think he's going to change the way he plays at this point.

The reason he comes up with all those highlight reel saves, or has had to over his career, is because he's out of position due to how he plays the position. Quick has always been more athlete than goalie. When the Kings played a rock solid boring type of game, he could get away with it more often. He used to only have to come up with 1 or 2 real saves during a game. A 3-2 league and all that crap. Now that he has to come up with maybe 3 or 4, and that's been happening for a long time, stretching back to at least the 2014 playoffs, it's just a couple more opportunities per game to get exposed.

Carolina is so much bigger and stronger. I love Lizotte but we’re really seeing his glass ceiling showcased in games like this.

These defensive pairings are another unforced error. If Edler needs a nap that badly than frankly someone else should be doing his job.
