Thanks for the pointer. So I think that Alex gets it half right (FA-gee-mo) and Patrick gets it completely wrong (fa-GEE-mo).

The Kings public facing team doesn't bother to pronounce the names of their own players correctly.
You can tell who really follows the Kings by if the call Kopi Anzee or Aunzhay... after all these years most out of town and national crews still say Anzee

No offense taken. Just being half sarcastic as the team have been playing no bueno. Don't think too much into it.
Fair enough.

I'm frustrated with the team right now also.

0-5-1 road trip would likely cost TM his job or certainly put him on the hot seat. It would also possibly cost the team a playoff berth.

Dude if there’s people still upset about Faber then you need a reality check lol

Short term loss for long term gain. Bring the 0-6.

Yeah that very much could happen. Maybe they'll surprise us with a win or two but this team looks older and older by the day even with all the youth in the lineup for some odd reason. LOL. These six games is crucial to Todds future perhaps.

i'm not up with my swedish pronunciation but i think it's a soft A

"aw"

that's kind of hard to anglicise now that i think about it

People seen to want Trotz, but correct me if I'm wrong: he seems like a guy who will be even more loathe to give young players meaningful minutes.
I’d personally would rather have a team with a system first and foremost. I value that more than anything. Kopitar will retire soon so the age of geezer will be coming to an end regardless

Faw-geh-moo would probably be pretty close to the correct way to say it. Emphasize the "Faw", a really short "geh", then "moo", not "moe".

Forgetting the first syllables and just having everyone moo at the end would be hilarious!

They did trade the once highly touted Jake Bean for a 2nd, and dealt Adam Fox for a 2nd and 3rd.

I don’t know about you, but I’d much rather have Fiala over those draft picks.
Fox made it clear he wasn't going to sign. There is no evidence of the same with Faber, just speculation. They didn't need Bean, they were loaded on the backend because they know how to develop and properly value blueliners.

A controlling defenseman like Slavin simply means more to winning than a high skill winger. All day, every day. And Faber projects to be that kind of player. Slavin was far and away the best player on the ice last night and the Kings have nobody that offers that kind of stability.

Fiala is sexy as hell, but not a needle mover. The Kings aren't any better off for his arrival. They need a dominant defender so much more than a highlight maker.

Not with Trotz it wouldn’t and that’s the point.. people got a taste of the playoffs and now want to go all in but that’s not the case. They need a young-er, up and coming coach who can help the kids grow. Again, think Jon Cooper, not these old fart, recycled f***ers

Who's got that goal replay of Fagemo by the swedish announcer I think during the world junior championships. It was a lady who was doing the play-by-play. I'm guessing she probably pronounced it correctly. It was a great sounding call from what I remember haha.

I think the missed opportunity was not beating out New Jersey in trading for Jonas Siegenthaler, who was dealt for a 3rd rounder. That’s the type of defenseman this team is sorely lacking.

This feels like the low point of the season IMO. You basically just saw a good team play a middling/mediocre team.

The Kings rank, league-wide, is probably in the 15th-20th range overall.

In the Summer of 2021, I had mixed feelings about the Danault signing. As much as I like the player, and as much as we clearly needed a center, I felt the Kings needed to continue tanking and collecting high picks. I feel somewhat justified in that belief now.
