Claim: Blake's Ego has prevented him from cutting any players he acquired. He hasn't done it yet.

Posters: Lists 15 different players in the last 5 years 7 months acquired by Blake who were released from team.

You: Those are your only examples?

Again how many players do you expect a GM to acquire and release in a 5 year period? What does Colorado's list look like? Tampa? Edmonton?

How many GMs have terminated the contract of a player they signed to an $18 million contract?
Excuse me, sir....but unless you are going to push the narrative, we ask you that you refrain from posting. Otherwise, you would be considered a troll. G'day!

Claim: Blake seems like the type of guy so far whos afraid of cutting off players he’s acquired. He hasn’t done it yet.

Blake has only signed 2 players in the offseason and jettisoned them. Cam and Kovy. Kovy was terminated but to be terminated both player and club have to be in agreeance. Kovy wasn't crying about it so there shouldn't be an issue there. Cam may be the only player that can take issue with Blake.

All the others were journeymen who bounce more than Kate Upton in a bikini.

And Kuemper, was traded as a favor to Kuemper, its well documented.

Blake has clearly shown loyalty to the players.

I'll be happy if the Kings let in less than 5 goals. Remember early in the season when everyone was going crazy about our goals for? Our differential is now -2. Something has to happen to the D, offense can only make up for a lack of proper D for so long.

Its still 15 players acquired by Blake that he cut. It directly contradicts the claim that Blake hasn't cut any players that he has acquired. It doesn't matter how you qualify them or how you justify their departure, its still 15 players acquired by Blake, and 15 players let go by Blake.

For a 3rd time, how many players do you expect a team to sign and then trade away in a 5 year period? How many are other teams signing and trading away? Why do their players count but Blake's 15 don't?

McDavid will go full out Timo Meier tonight. Say he gets 5+ pts.

Desjardins took a nice check to play bad cop with Kovalchuk so they didn't have to waste the first year of a new coach with that mess.

I am not sure what the argument is here, but dumping Kovalchuk wasn't Blake's problem - signing him was, and wasting a year off his teams time while that situation played out was an odd way of fixing his own mess.

And don't forget Phaneuf. Blake actively wanted him, and instead of waiting for Gaborik's inevitable back surgery and LTIR, he thought that a player everybody knew was done could still play, and ended having to buy him out and waste cap space for a few years.

Riddle: what you call it when you hang on to your prospects to long and have sell in a panic? ans in reverse: elas ekalB

Kovalchuk, Hagelin, AA, Tkachev, Maata, Frk, Hutton, Folin, Stetcher..........
How many of those did he trade vs not re-sign? My entire thing is I’d like to see him move a player who he’s signed.

Lining up around the block to defend Blake’s mediocre record of half ass measures is being completely drunk on the purple koolaid.

What’s the argument here? Blake is an average GM, so everyone of his moves is defensible in hindsight if you honestly believe he is handcuffed by whatever context supports your take of the situation?

If this guy is such a cold stone genius, he must have an inherited the worst mess of all time to be stymied at every turn.

Have to dive back into the Kovalchuk era is pretty telling no? Lol
Sorry, was there a timeline established? Felt it would be a great example as it would considered the highest profile UFA that Blake has signed. But you go ahead and pick and choose what works best for the narrative.

You don’t think frequency is an indication ?
