As long as Kopitar is a King, he most likely gets to do whatever he wants. Only way he probably would change is if he got moved to a veteran Cup contender where he gets a shot at one more ring.

I’d honestly argue that his shot is the only thing that hasn’t really left him, but yeah, the guy is definitely a shell of his former self.
