no kidding, lifetime ahl'r beats the Kings again. They only get 1 goal by a guy with a .750 save pct. This guy will give up 5 or more in his next start.

Not really. Soderblom just turned 23 a couple months ago and his first season in N.A was last year where he played 38 games in the AHL last season and so far 2 this season. He may end up being a lifetime AHL'r but too early to make that call. He is still a prospect and so far looks pretty good.

There was a comment that the Kings defense was bad - not the way I saw it. The Hawks couldn't get anything going in the o-zone.

Clearly Fiala wants that one back in overtime, but the defensive effort was better. They should have generated more offense with the chances they got and Fiala is literally #1 on the team with generating offensive chances and it isn't even close. So far, I would trade three Brock Fabers for another Fiala He is going to be motivated with this home trip playing against the Wild again and then to get revenge on the Hawks.

You know, in reflection, I'm not going to be too hard on them, because I think at the end of the trip and this bunk schedule they've had so far, they just didn't have that 'bear down' gear to generate the highest danger chances. They should have finished more, but a lot of the brain death/bouncing pucks were exhaustion mistakes, not effort issues. After the Dallas game I was REALLY worried that they'd be completely done tonight, but they fought, just didn't finish (Kopitar and Edler looked their ages though). With a little rest and practice, games like that will be Ws.

PLENTY of blame to go around on the OT play. I'm not even mad that they tried to go hard for the win--Durzi leaving 'early' was fine imo because he was making an aggressive play for an odd man rush, and Fiala fumbling was just shit luck. TM put the three most defensively liable players on the team out there for a faceoff vs. the #1 faceoff team in the league, including a winger taking the draw against f***ing Toews. What kind of brain dead shit is that? That has to be the first time ever TM DOESNT overplay Kopitar in OT, like just put a C out there for the faceoff and change if you have to, what's so hard here? Terrible coaching for the last two games, just unacceptable decisions and repeatedly.

I'm not typically a shit on TM kind of poster but I just can't understand not having a center out to take that faceoff when possession is such a massive part of OT. As soon as I heard Jim say "and the faceoff will come all the way down" I thought Vilardi or Kopitar (more the TM move) was going to come over the boards. But as soon as I saw 33 on the draw I thought "this is a mistake, this is going to cost us." I don't think that's typical fan pessimism, I think every coach should be trying to win every draw in OT.

In my opinion it is self-inflicted damage to play Durzi, Walker and Edler while having Spence, Tobi and Moverare in AHL.

last season wasnt a fluke- they just had Bjornfot and Spence on D which made the d Corp 33% better than it is now. Edler washed up, Durzi cant play D, Walker was never anything special and basically the Nick Shore of dmen. Durzi will never have more value than he has right now and has never been known for his ability to play defense- that book aint changing. Walker has never been a plus player in his career as an NHLer. Improve these two positions and Kings d and o immediately improve. Walker struggles on a break out pass, durzi struggles positionally, edler a step slower....thats 50% of your Dcorp that cant play above the mendoza line.
