Hip hip Horray for ESPN plus……. Oh wait I don’t have that……a lot of people don’t have that.
Zegras and Terry... And even Drysdale all loving this post.
Tavares, Engvall, Benn, and Liljegren are all hurt, so they don’t have to trade anyone yet.I wish wed trade shatt, and go grab Holl... Holl fits the general need of the team more than shatt does.... and holl can basically be had for a 6th or 7th i imagine. Leafs basically have to move him to get under cap before season starts.

I mean inflation alone should take it there… Matthews was already going to get $15M+ wonder how high he can go.

That 2nd line would be an absolute disaster in the defensive zone. I’d do:If Zegras isn't ready to start the season
Henrique-Strome-Terry
Comtois-McTavish-Vatrano
Grimaldi-Lundestrom-Silfverberg
Grant-Groulx-Regenda/Jones
Yeah, I'd expect Henrique to slide into the middle if Zegras is out. See if McTavish can establish his game on the wing first. That 2nd line would be an absolute disaster in the defensive zone. I’d do:
McTavish-Henrique-Terry

Have to think Drew is the 12th/13th forward after what happened last night. If Zegras isn't ready to start the season

If Verbeek and Eakins didn't care before, I doubt a clean hit is going to change their minds unfortunately.Have to think Drew is the 12th/13th forward after what happened last night.
By clean you mean technically legal? I don’t know why they would be fine with their star player being targeted, but I guess that’s where we are at it seems. If Verbeek and Eakins didn't care before, I doubt a clean hit is going to change their minds unfortunately.
He wasn't targeted, he had the puck and was slashing to the middle of the ice without taking a peek. "Targeted" to me would mean someone skated across the rink and laid him out. It was a hockey play, yes it sucks it was Zegras but it happens and it's going to continue happening. If a skill guy has a puck and trying to dangle through the neutral zone they will get caught every once in a while. If anyone had the puck and made that move in the same situation (pre-season, a guy known for hitting, trying to make team) they are getting trucked regardless IMO.By clean you mean technically legal? Star players are targeted on every team. I think maybe we just forgot because our star players for so long were Getzlaf and Perry. Guys that could take care of themselves.By clean you mean technically legal? I don’t know why they would be fine with their star player being targeted, but I guess that’s where we are at it seems.
Kariya and Selanne have said they felt most comfortable when the Ducks had Stu Grimson watching out for them. I know the game has changed since then, but it’s still a tough sport. If your skill players are small danglers, probably a good idea to go get the toughest player you can. I’d overpay for Reaves to be honest.Star players are targeted on every team. I don't think Reaves is solving any of our problems. I'm on the side of getting a guy who is tough but also can play. Tom Wilson is a good example. The problem is those guys are about as easy to find as George Costanza when the bill comes.Kariya and Selanne have said they felt most comfortable when the Ducks had Stu Grimson watching out for them. Reaves isn’t a 25 goal scorer like Wilson, but he can at least skate a regular shift. He’s also probably the most intimidating fighter in the league.I don't think Reaves is solving any of our problems. I'm on the side of getting a guy who is tough but also can play. why are you giving McTavish that 2c spot when Eakins has said he'll be starting out on the wing? what does Lundestrom gotta do even get a chance there? lolIf Zegras isn't ready to start the season
