To answer your question: He'll get opportunities but he shit the bed last year and is going to have to earn his way back up the lineup. That said, I imagine McTavish will be switched around the lineup quite often. Personally I see it as pairs again with the 3rd player being rotated.

Who is that UFA face puncher you reference? I dont think one exists that we would want to actually sign. Unfortunately, I dont think we are beefing up anymore unless PV pulls off a trade.

I think if a legit top 6 guy was still out there, he would have been signed by now. I believe PV had interest in it, I mean we know he did with the pursuit of Nino, but whats left now is, meh. Kessel, Rodrigues, Milano, Gagner, Ennis, Galchenyuk.

Have to think Kessel wants to go to a contender after being in AZ. Rodrigues and Milano are almost the same guy. Then you start getting into guys that its questionable if they would even be top 6.

McTavish hasnt earned a top 6 spot yet, but I do think he will end up there. Comtois, if hes on the roster to start the season, is on a very short leash. I think now is the time to see how Perreault, Pasty, and Tracey are coming along. Get them some games and see what they can take.

Stralman is a no brainer signing for us IMO. I hope we do that one soon. Motte or Rodriguez would also be nice.
