Coming in peace. Pens fan. I’ve found myself bouncing around the boards since Pittsburgh is out. Looked around in your memories thread and it thawed my cold bitter heart toward the Capitals a couple of degrees. And made me think even though our fan bases will most assuredly end up in a blood feud again in years to come. But thought I should take a moment to break bread with you guys on the basis of just holy mother of god since both our Captains came into the league what a insane spectacle we have gotten to witness. The Flyers are my most hated team in all sports, but I don’t think any team other than the Capitals have caused the depths of anxiety I have had over my fandom of watching hockey for almost 30 years. It sucks our guys are getting old and the chances are getting forever slimmer and slimmer during this era ether my team or your team will get to the top again. But damn, what a run for both our teams. And that 09 series maybe one of the best insane spectacles of hockey this world has ever seen. Hope our teams get to meet in the post season at least one more time before both Sid and Ovy hang them up for good.

Oilers need to stop taking penalties. Pretty clear the Kings really build momentum off of those. That last goal though is on Skinner not holding the post.

I had a feeling when the Canes tied it up that the Islanders were in trouble. Raanta had an off night with a .885 save percentage and they needed to take advantage of it. They also got screwed in OT and they should have been on the power play when Carolina scored.

It’s kinda crazy to me that they can review a potential high stick or hand pass leading to a goal but they can’t review a high stick to the face. I understand not being able to review for a holding call or tripping call because those are subjective but a stick to the face is black and white and easily reviewable.

Yeah I’m with you except I don’t think I’ve seen a single minute of the 10:00 games yet. I watched the Carolina/New York OT on my phone in bed and fell asleep before the end of the Bruins game.
