Wanna hear how Salin, Connors and Clarke did in the WJC? From an actual pro hockey player with an unbelievable ability to discuss the game in an easy to digest way?

Then listen to this episode.

Really enjoyed this. Some great questions and amazing answers. Gaunce is a gem. That guy is a coach down the line.

I'm glad he's doing well, but he's got to be bored at this point. Doesn't do him any good if he's not being challenged

That's my concern. He had some lapses in judgment defensively, and now he's gone to a point where he's not learning structure, he's just outplaying the competition. It's not like he needed a confidence boost.

Clarke is just the bully beating up on children at this point, his game isn't being helped one bit playing juniors

f***in sweet, so glad he's back there working on his defensive game, gaps, and positioning/battling vs. grown professional men

Oh what's that, he's just shaking down kids before the pre-SAT for their lunch money?

Who ever could have seen this coming?

But it's cool, they have a weight room, so that's like totally the same thing anyway.

Jack Hughes and Braden Doyle of Northeastern playing Alex Laferriere and Harvard in the championship of the Beanpot Tourny tonight. NorthEastern wins in a shootout 3-2. Laferriere and Hughes were so-so while Doyle was invisible!

Clarke is keeping busy learning how to captaina team into a playoff race and trying to win both a J Ross and Silver Stone.
Great training to take advantage of, with a rail car spill of talent on the RD expressway, for a potential future captain of the Kings.
SAT's and lunch money, aside

Jack Hughes is a -13, the next closest is -1 on Northeastern. I understand +/- isn't the end all be all, but still that's quite a margin. Still young, but got a ways to go.
I wasn't a big fan of drafting Hughes at the draft wasn't a fan of his game. Not saying this because of his numbers Just didnt' see a lot of potential. With the way the Kings develop forwards sheesh. But who knows we did draft him in the second round so with our record of second rounders he'll actually be okay.

I hated the Hughes pick at the time -- but was hoping my ignorance about the player would show that i was wrong. So far, ignorance is way out in front on this one unfortunately.

So Cal
I really liked his play during this summer prospects camp.

I think skill wise he one of the best forwards we have and he is fast too.

I would live to watch him in AHL next year if he will sign contract.

P.S. He was very skinny when he was drafted, but he gained 25 pounds.

Would be amazing if he ended up being another Kings NHL player drafted in the 7th rd.
