I'm expecting that teams will concentrate on RFAs for the next little while and that clearing that up will hopefully help fix the cap logjam in the NHL right now. Eventually dominoes will fall but it'll maybe take a while...

Pretty crazy to sign in Russia with current political climate.
Why ?
I personally know someone playing over there and absolutely no problems at all.
Then again Putin loves hockey !!!!!!
I was thinking that same thing too.
Yeah - we've seen him play.
Re: Your contact - There should be a complete travel ban on anybody going to Russia and Belorussia right now and that needs to include hockey players - for their own safety.

There's always cases like Brittney Griner that fuel the fear but you know, country actively in war, sanctions against them from rest of the world, unstable economy. Those sort of concerns.
Should there ALSO be a ban on any / ALL Corporations from doing ANY type of business in Russia or Belarussia ?
The USA is still buying oil from Russia but an individual shouldn't go there to earn a living ?
Last time I checked there is a conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
If individuals follow the law of the land there should be zero issues. If you break the law you should face the consequences in any country that you are LEGALLY living or working in.
Should Russian and Belarussian players be banned from playing in the NHL ??????
Are they at any risk of living or playing in NA ? Should they not leave Russia for their own safety ?
I highly doubt that Ovechkin or Kaprizov are in any type of danger coming to NA to play
