Do teams really trade for the right to negotiate with a UFA early? I would assume in most cases, the UFA will say I will listen to what you have to say...and get back to you after I hear offers...

One advantage for certain high profile UFAs is the ability to offer 8 years I believe?

The other is to just pre-empt the market, some players will take security of a good enough offer and appreciate being shown by the org that they were a priority. Works sometimes, like we just saw with Husso

It's probably to get out of the draft completely this year..

They're typically ready to pay the UFA price the player is after. They just don't want to have to deal with competition.

I don’t know the point of Twitter if not chronological. The fact Twitter has it as default is pretty dumb.

If you follow lots of accounts it’s nice to have some sorting by engagement/popularity/whatever. Don’t want to read every thought from every small account that has the occasional tidbit. But lately I feel like the non-chron feed just keeps showing me the same 2 day old stuff
