He kind of does, no way a team will trade for his rights if a deal is not in place. If I'm Sakic I'm letting Kuemper's agent talk to all teams right now to maximize value.
It happens almost every year... I posted a chart in the previous page

Not every single time a players' rights have been traded that the player ended up signing. It's a risk - that's why it's a mid/late round pick and never a 1st or a 2nd.

Hope they get Lehkonen locked in before free agency starts, that would be a prime opportunity for someone to swoop in with an offer sheet.
I don't think in a flat cap period that anyone would make an offer the Avs don't match. If you go high you're into 2nd round or higher territory for doing it. Colorado will extend the QO and it'll be up to the player if he wants to just go 1 year and test UFA territory next summer.

That is a pretty damn nice return for a player they got for nothing (free agency) last summer on a redemption deal.

Frantically refreshing hoping to see the Avs traded the rights of Kadri, Bura, Darcy to Toronto for 2023 1st, 2nd and 3rd round pick. But Dumbass I mean Dubas keeps disappointing me.

Just catching up on things. Imagine if Chicago picked Byram and left us with a dud like Dach. God bless the draft lottery.
To be fair a young center would be a great fit to our team. Just Byram happens to be way way better, at least that's how it looks at the moment.
