I want to get into semantics.

Isn't rebuilding just ending up with the same thing as before?

I'm trying to say we got tricked. They just wanted to tear it down and rebuild the same mess. With cap hell and no farm.

It is in this case. I haven't seen confirmation that he is suspended, but if he is, he'll miss games 6 (and 7 if necessary) of the OHL championship. If the Petes lose, it's on him. He isn't bringing life to the team by not playing.

Besides that, it was a slew foot with 40 seconds left in a 4-1 game. Getting suspended because of an overly aggressive play is one thing. Getting suspended because he was upset and acting like a child is something else.

He got a major in game 2 of the series for a check to the head and was lucky he didn't get suspended then.

Whatever has gotten into Beck lately he's a skill player and not really an effective physical player. If you're thinking this guy is going to bring that or any kind of real edge after he turns pro.....well maybe but be prepared to wait a while. Players who do pull that are going to have to defend themselves because opponents will eventually get to them and make them pay. Nobody likes it for good reason.

The slew foot is one of the dirtiest plays and it can lead to serious injury. I was ticked off last year when Subban did it several times including twice to our players. It can wreck knees......it can cause an opponent to fall backwards and hit his head on the ice. It's a total clownshow asshole play and players should always be suspended when they do it. Beck is one of Peterborough's best offensive players and if he's suspended his not playing puts the Petes in a bad spot.

Tucker Robertson is underrated prospect. Petes lead 2-1

Krakken has some good prospects between Robertson and Ryan Winterton
 
othmann had his best game of the series tonight...very involved. made a nice read and good play to get the first goal in motion. would love to see the breakaway again because it didn't look offsides to me but they didn't even air a replay....woulda been nice to see him get that. but good for him going out with an ohl championship and a shot at the memorial cup.
