@n8It's two years to sign a CHL guy. One of those years unfortunately was the bad COVID year and Vierling didn't play anywhere. Then last season he did play and was really mediocre. I watched a lot of him and he didn't show much. I mean at times you could see why we liked him but most of the time he was just another guy out there. I thought it was 50-50 they'd give him a contract; they evidently didn't like him enough to offer one. Now he's having a very good season statistically, but he's an overage player so it's not really surprising. There's another overage player on his team that's also doing really well. I think at this point the likelihood is that he gets an AHL or ECHL deal at the end of the year. I'd be surprised if he received an ELC from anyone else.

I don't see any deal for Chytil starting with $3.x unless we're talking one-year only. The cap is going to go up and when it does it should be a fairly substantial increase. As far as how Chytil has elevated his game he'll certainly get a raise but he's probably in the neighborhood of $3.5 to $4 with his next deal.
Neither Kakko or Lafreniere are in a place where I'd think of locking them up yet. Miller is the biggest possibility for that.
Nice return so far! Would be great for him to continue out the second half the season like this.Sykora had 1+1 yesterday. He has 2+4 in his last 6 games.

How many under 20 players do they have?Sýkora leads Tipos in points among U20 players.

In PPG did you try to limit to skaters with a certain minimum number of games (like somewhere between 50%-75% of total possible)? In preparation for the semi annual prospect ranking I looked at how our CHL forwards were doing in comparison to others in their leagues.
WHL
Korczak -- 7th in PPG
Grubbe --28th in points, 43 in PPG
QMJHL
Barbashev -- 46th in points, 56 in PPG
OHL
McConnell-Barker -- 12th in points, 26 in PPG
Othmann -- 17th in PPG, 44th in points
BMB and Barbashev in D+1, others are D+2 with Grubbe having missed a year.
Busts. No points for either BMB or Othmann. Othmann has just 11 points in 11 games with Peterborough.
Borgiel is the guy that splits time with Ollas. They alternate starts.
Yeah. When a slump is PPG you count your blessings. Hahaha.Busts.
In all seriousness though, this is good for Othmann. A little character building if you will. He obviously has the skill and the snarl for the NHL level, but does he have it between the ears? Little resiliency never hurt. Plus its still a PPG haha
His shot generation remains high so this could be just a case of puck luck scoring goals (assists ratio is about the same). Now I (we?) don’t have info about scoring chances breakdown so without watching got to assume that it’s about the same too. Nothing to worry.Yeah. When a slump is PPG you count your blessings. Hahaha.
His shot generation is high. Ranks 11 in the OHL, (Bryce M-B is 6th), but Othmann has played fewer games, 7-12 for everyone ahead of him except Sasha Pastujov. Othmann is almost at 5 SPG while Ty Nelson, who leads the league in shots, is averaging 5.25 SPG. The OHL stats don't show average shots per game but looking at the numbers it is clear that he is the top five in shots per game. His shooting percentage is 10%. Bryce M-B is at 14% and Pastujov is 16%. Last year Othmann's shooting % was 17%. He's averaging a half a shot more per game this year. It's the shooting percentage that is the difference in his scoring this year. His shot generation remains high so this could be just a case of puck luck scoring goals (assists ratio is about the same). Berard, who has run into some bad luck this year, had 1+2. On the other side Ollas came on in relief and allowed 3 goals on 17 shots.
Korczak had a goal. Grubbe had two assists.
