So in essence, the guys we have to sign in 2023 are: Gorniak, Dichow, Vrbetic, Struble and Sobolev.

Prediction...we sign Dichow. That's it. Struble is the other obvious choice...but somehow, it doesn't seem that obvious. I'd sign him. But not sure it will happen.

The other 3 have to go. Maybe sign Vrbetic in a AHL-ECHL contract.

If they do, Struble likely starts in the ECHL

To me, Struble is obvious. I'd be surprised if they don't sign him.

He will either be in the NHL or AHL. Only way he starts in the ECHL is if he stinks the joint with Laval.

I don't get the Sobolev deadline.

His last season played before being drafted was in Russia. If that is the criteria, that would give him an unlimited timeline to sign.

However, he had been at Windsor's camp in 2020-21, only the league did not play. If this counts as "from the CHL", then your deadline of June 1 2023 is correct.

However, CapFirendly has his deadline as June 1 2025, which would be the case if he were a European import. I think CapFriendly is wrong, and you may be right.

In either case, Habs surely have no interest in Sobolev. Perhaps Laval/Trois-Rivieres do.

I would definitely take CapFriendly as correct in which case the possibility exists that we can offer Sobolev an AHLC, or send him back for a 20 year old season, which is good news. He provides more RHD depth, and plays a physical game.

Allard in his first practice with Laval.

Yaremko at practice with Laval after being signed to a PTO. He was coached by Buchberger at Tri-City in the WHL.

He's spent the last 3 years at USports, where he put up a total of 93 pts (38G, 55A) in 64 GP.

Martel has been practicing with the team for about 2 weeks now. He is in the final phase of his recovery and should be back in the line-up sooner than later.

For those that watch a lot of Laval, I have a couple
of questions.
1 Is Trudeau a prospect with NHL upside?

2 Will Beaudin be Qualified, and if so is he
a relavent prospect?

3 Will they resign Anthony Richard ? I really
like the way he skates, and he seems to have some
puck skills.

1) Yes

2) Yes. He is a relevant prospect, but there are more relevant prospects ahead of him. But he's at worst, great for Laval.

3) I think they will re-sign Richard.

Will he want to sign with us though?

Seems like a candidate to walk away and sign somewhere else given how much young player & prospect depth we have at D?

As much as I'd be surprised if the Habs choose not to sign him, I'd also be surprised if he chooses not to sign with Habs.

Kent Hughes was his advisor before he became Habs GM.

AHL deadline was today ?

Yea. But only the Sens made some moves. Shipped some guys out for future considerations and then picked up a guy for future considerations.

Most teams are already made for the year. AHL TDL is nothing really spectacular even by AHL standards.

True, but getting another scorer, or something to help while a lot of the players are with the Habs would have helped but it seems playoffs aren't that reasonable

Laval doesn't have any problem scoring. They're second in the entire league in goals for and have the 7th best PP.

Is Dubé skilled enough to warrant an NHL two-way deal someday? Coming out of nowhere and producing quite a bit at 22

Laval is really going to the bottom of the barrel with these overage Canadian College guys.

Risk is minimal and they probably saw something worth a try so why not. Condotta was a great pickup for Laval last year.
