I think Yzerman is taking advantage of the market this year. No real chance for Detroit to make noise even if they make the playoffs, so he's getting draft picks. I can only imagine how many 2nds and 3rds he will trade down for come draft day.

I'm probably just freaking out over how much the rest of the east is loading up. I think there is a point of diminishing returns, because you're messing with team chemistry, and a lot of TDL acquisitions, if not the majority, never quite settle in.

The asking price is low but where does he slot? I feel like if we're not going to use him in a role to maximize his scoring ability it's a waste.

I would consdier adding Carlile as a potential piece to any trace. As a rookie, led the AHL in plus/minus for several games a couple of weeks ago and has not looked out of place on the Crunch blue line.
