I wonder if we’re looking at a call up tomorrow followed by a lineup shakeup. Obviously adding a quality defensemen would be nice

Tampa, FL.
After the Names trade(great work by JBB to not have to attach any assets to move him and get a solid 4th liner in return), Tampa has ~1.25 available. Depending on who JBB is looking at, Tampa could involve a 3rd party and still be able to acquire a dman making up to ~5 million. Not sure JBB is aiming that high, but it could be possible. If Myers is moved or Bellemare waived/replaced by Balcers, there would be additional space available. I guess if he wants a guy with term, maybe Edmundson is more realistic now, even if I'm not sure he's the best fit. He'd also in theory be a Cole replacement next season?

Why do I have a terrible feeling that JBB is going to go after Klingberg?

Klingberg retained like 33% actually fits our deadline space.

Klingberg: $1.59M remaining
Deadline Space remaining: $1.269M

Stamkos has 3 even strength points with Cirelli this season. Going by ES minutes per points, Paul is his most effective linemate after Kucherov/Point, then Killorn and Cirelli is about half as effective as either at a whopping 71mins per ESP.
If you look Killorns production dropped coincided with Cirellis return to that line as well. Both Killorn and Paul were on track for career years in early Dec when Anthony returned and put on that line. Unless Coop suprises me in the next 10 days putting Paul back up I think this is what we are going to see for the rest of the year . There has to be a reason he is doing this but overall defense has not improved and the scoring ability of the 2nd has dropped. Is he trying to build a Gourde line?????

When your competitors ahead of you have the ability to add and all you can Do is Jeannot. There’s a problem but then again the last few years we were able to do what is being done. It will make Boston better but I’m not sure now about Toronto they have been awful aggressive it could well bite them in the ass.
