2 of his assists were no look backhanders, absolutely filthy. His anticipation is awesome
His poise with the puck is wild. I think he's more than a complimentary top 6er. The upside's there at least. I think he's just too good to fail.

Could be a pretty special player. With his offensive instincts and skill, I think they can compensate for the skating issues

Honestly, stylistically he's Kucherov. The problem is whether he can Kucherov can work with a bit less skill but being even more laissez faire

Eh both goals looked like complete flukes. Would be curious how his actual gameplay was and not production to understand if he has in fact taken his game up a notch.
Scoring goals is not a question mark for Mailloux, he needs to improve in other areas.

Rogle U20 is currently playing Game 1 of their semi-final series against Djurgarden. Engstrom at 2RD.

They're currently down 1-0 in the 1st period.

Mailloux with an impressive game, though he's going to need to grow up a bit more, as that penalty was just f***ing stupid if the game and or series wasn't just about over.

Guindon was impressive as well, he's underrated among Hab fans imo.

Yeah, he's had quite a few of those Max Domi moments during the season. He definitely has a bit of a short fuse, he just goes off sometimes and you don't have to poke him all that hard to make him lose it. Hopefully they'll work on that going forward, we should not forget how little actual coaching he's had up to now.

We could use more players with a short fuse right now.

It can be a double edged sword at time, like in that game where he got a penalty for talking trash at the other bench when he really didnt need to. He talks back to the opposing fans quite a lot too. You have to use that energy at the right times.

agreed. I've been waiting to see how Struble's temper will be as a pro now, but so far he hasn't had any issues at all but he's also not been that physical either as I'm sure he's just trying to adjust to the higher level and so far so good for him.

Today is the J20 final. Rogle vs. Leksand @ 8:30AM ET. Engstrom at 2LD.

Also today is Game 6 of the SHL semi-final series between Frolunda and Vaxjo. Frolunda is down 3-2 in the series. So they either push a Game 7 or go home. They're not playoffs we're following much since Dichow has been the back up. They play @ 1:30PM ET.

Is Guindon as good as a skater as he seems in highlights? Seems as good as Mesar skating wise to me.

I said it at camp and I still see it: Joshua Roy is a clone of Toffoli's style. Toffoli isn't fast either but they have such a high hockey sense that they are always ahead of the play. It is a pretty realistic ceilling for him and I'd be happy if he reach that level in the NHL.
Everytime I watch him play, all I see is a young Toffoli
