Yea Smilanic missed a chunk of the season as he stepped away for mental health reasons. Good on him to do what he needed to deal with his issues.

Tony Granato was fired after Wisconsin was eliminated. Smilanic struggled on and off the ice, but the whole Wisconsin team as a whole did bad this year. Smilanic had said before the season that he wanted to play NCAA this year and then sign to turn pro. But surely now the Canadiens will want him to go back and play a full year since this one went the way it did.

I know that some were getting on Beck but when you watch this game you can see why he's going to be a very solid NHLer imo.

Nice goal by Tourigny in Slovak playoffs. He is steadily improving.

There is definitely some improvement possible on his straight ahead speed... I like how he defends using his quickness. He will need to create smooth zone exits in the NHL to compensate for his size... the same as all undersized D.
