The Coyotes letting Bunting walk has to be one of the best things to happen to a player in recent memory. He's going to make a lot of money after this year and I doubt that ever would've happened if he stayed in Arizona.

Great asset management by those geniuses

I don't see a team that could potentially miss the playoffs that has a goalie able to move the needle for Vegas.

Anaheim won't give them Gibson
Reimer ain't it
Mrazek ain't it
Winnipeg won't give them Hellebuyck
Blackwood ain't it
Nedeljkovic ain't it
Allen ain't it

The only team I can see is the Islanders moving Varlamov, but they wouldn't move him to the Oilers (or he said no, who knows) last season so I can't imagine them moving him to Vegas this season.
Some goalie will spring free

Tampa is a shell of the team compared to a couple years ago... cap is finally getting to them and it shows. They are not a legit contender this year or maybe next 2-3 years (where there is a very good chance they don't re-tool). I think their window is simply over.

Eichel looks back to normal... if he plays as a high end 1C, Vegas can be dangerous again.
Still don’t know why people wrote off Vegas. Plenty of question marks, but assuming they stay healthy, they’re the best team in the Pacific IMO. Edmonton is close and may finish higher in the standings, but I’d take a healthy Vegas in a 7 game series over the Oilers.

Should be a fun team to watch. Their defense is a bit suspect but they’re loaded with talent.

Think they’ll either end up surprising a lot of people in the next year or two.
Defense has some talent, just a matter of it clicking on a few guys. If Bean and Boqvist take a step, they have a chance to have a very solid top 4. If they don’t, they’ll struggle.

Seeing Chris Wideman on the Habs top PP unit might be enough for me. I want to watch Slaf and Suzuki but I don’t know if I can do it. So bad.

I like my Chris Weidmans getting KO’d in the octagon.

Caufield really makes up for having to watch Weidman

Pasta is gonna get paid… and Zacha is in a perfect place to breakout to his physical skill set.

And Necas looks primed.

Caps are old and injured. If there's one "surprise" team to miss the playoffs in the East this year, it's them.
