You’re the one who commented about them being ‘2-3’… so you kinda care

Grubi is completely broken with Seattle. If he was playing even slightly decently, they might be the top record in the west.
The amount of people just waiting in the weeds for any Grubauer struggle is hilarious ;)

Does it have hockey? Do you happen to know if it's a u.s only thing? I want a way to watch hockey on my livingroom tv again and Sportsnetnow is awful in Canada with most things blacked out anyway.
ESPN+ in the states does, and I'm guessing this is a states only thing with the NHL.

Har har that’s not me tho… I just find the situation sad. He’s better than he’s played and just completely broken mentally.
And that is the second goalie to completely melt down after Ron Francis gives him money and term. Dude just does not know how to pick netminders.

FTR I do think jersey is good. Just irks me that we’re the champs and everyone is drooling over them. Avs would handle them in playoffs assuming we get a real 2C. Actually that would make a great cup final.

Jealousy is never a good look. :sarcasm:

Tampa could have said the same thing over the past couple seasons when the Avs were the hot new thing. That is just Jersey right now. They have an excellent core of players, nice mix of vets, play a modern-high tempo style... they are a great team and the most likely top contending team over the next 5 years. How great this year is yet to be determined. Their goaltending is suspect and we don't know how they will shore up the team or fit in their young prospects who are nearly ready (Hughes, Foote, Holtz, Nemec). Neither team is really in its final form and won't be until the spring.

Devils D won't hold up in the playoffs. I'm not sold on Hamilton being a #1 D, and remember Graves in the playoffs? Regular season Graves is good, playoff Graves is real bad.

Can one not do both? Can I not enjoy
the Avs cup win while recognizing that the Devils have built a team that looks to be built very very well?

I like NJ but I cannot stand Jack Hughes the person. He comes off like such a stoner/surfer dude that thinks he's so f***ing cool, mannn #sopitted. I guess it's the way he talks. And this is coming from someone who loves weed and is stereotyped as a cali surfer dude. I just can't man.

And then conversely, you have Trevor Zegras, who actually plays in Southern Cal and has the looks for it, but gives a much chiller vibe IMO.

Your avatar is one of the creepiest things I've ever seen.

I'd say Hughes is more popped collar Florida frat boy than surfer dude. Zegras, certainly fits that surfer vibe though

We know the Devils will beef up at the deadline, just depends on what they decide to address and what they're willing to give up. They have some very nice trade chips and their cap situation isn't yet dire.

One trade that appears to be benefiting both teams and players--Haula for Zacha. It allowed the Devils to move on from one of their few draft disappointments and he appears to be flourishing in Boston. Meanwhile, Haula is still a pretty good depth defensive forward.

With us, yeah, but I'm curious to see what playoff Graves will be with the Devils as he appears to have found a more fitting role there. Also a couple years older.
