Done no but terrible contract yes.

Well, at least they got a coach now who's willing to get the most out of him instead of sticking him on the fourth line with two talentless scrubs for 7 minutes a night and then wondering why he isn't producing.

I've been wrong a lot in my life (big surprise) but my initial takes on Ralph Krueger could not have been more off-target.

If he's popping 30+g a season, it is not nearly as terrible as people make it out to be. I think people would be kind of shocked with how many goals Skinner has put up as a Sabre. Since 18-19, he's tied for 42nd in the league in goals... with Marner. Ahead of names like Nylander, Duchene, Miller, Fiala, and Ehlers. He's one single goal behind Svechnikov and 3 behind Panarin. This is with 2 seasons of pushed down the lineup by Krueger.

This season so far and last season combined, he sits 33rd in the league in goals... right with Marner, Fiala, Zibi, Tank, Miller, Crosby, Petey. This year he is pacing 30 goals, which he has accomplished 5 times as a NHLer... if he does it this year, 6 of 13 seasons will have been 30+ (which includes 3 shortened seasons). As a reference... Hejduk had 30+ 5 times in his career.

His contract isn't perfect, but if you look at the names right around him... it isn't that out of whack.

That meltdown on the first page of the Timmins trade thread truly captures the essence of what some Leafs fans are like. Yeesh. I thought our gloomy melodrama could get unbearable, but we're nothing compared to what the Leafs have going on.

Not too concerned about Reaves as long as MacDermid is in the lineup. Which is questionable at present.

He's not like that in NJ.

Anyway Josh Manson is a living proof that it's the coaching staff that want them to play like this. Graves was doing it, Manson is doing it, EJ is doing it...that's the game plan. Defense must support attack and skate with the puck.
I feel like Manson has always done that, I don't think it took much prodding to get him doing that.

That was like watching people box in those inflatable sumo suits. Or 2 toddlers, especially when Tyson was adorably pawing at Wideman's helmet trying to remove it.

Told you guys, he's Bison Jost now.
His name was already TYSON.

It was kicked in, but it wasn't even kicked in the direction of the net. Took another bounce after. I don't know the exact rule on that but it was pretty clear he wasn't trying to kick it into the net.
