"Hello, Chicago? You have a 5.5 million cap hit for next year. That's right. Cheery bye."

Thrilled to know that Duncan Keith's final shift as an NHL player ended with him completely failing to cover Artturi Lehkonen on the goal that knocked them out of the postseason.

Extremely talented guy but he can go f*** himself. Glad yet another move Ken Holland made blew up in his face.

"Understand why they need to deny"

Yeah because Lou would've gone full mobster on their ass.

I was really hoping the Isles were gonna set Lou up at this year's draft exactly like he was set up for last year's, just him, alone at a table, with a black curtain behind him.

Not to mention their dead $12.7M dead cap space - jumping to $14.7M next year - which isnt new news, just something I like to remind myself of as often as possible.

Its a beautiful cluster-F they have going over there

Also good to remind ourselves that their "GO FOR IT!" year had them entering the playoffs with a top two center tandem of Ryan Hartman and Freddy Gaudreau.

If there was anyone who embodied both how much scoring got inflated around the league this year and also just how good Kirill Kaprizov really is, it's Hartman.

Charlie O'Connor reports that the TDA trade and signing basically means the Flyers are more than a little concerned about the status of Ryan Ellis. Both of them are right-handed shots.

Game management won a game for the Avs in the Finals...

No it didn't. The refs just like everyone else in the building and watching on TV said they didn't see the too many men in game 4.

Game/series management did gift wrap a win for Tampa though and a loss for the Avs in game 5.

So for those of you wondering about the whole TDA/Georgiev thing, it was DeAngelo who reportedly started the whole thing in the first place.

I don't care for TDA as much as the next guy, but this article was clearly written by someone who is letting their political bias cloud their judgement and affect their professionalism.

Anyway, Rangers fans are out to lunch on the Georgiev lockeroom stuff, especially that guy who was arguing that TDA is well liked everywhere he goes...right, that's why he wears out his welcome so fast.

I read that the Rangers are going to buy out Patrik Nemeth.

Great first free agent foray there, Drury.

I remember watching the Connor McDavid goal (you know which one) as it happened, watched the replay repeatedly to see who was on D and, yep, I knew it right away.

Kinda sad because I was reasonably okay with his brief stint in Colorado as sort of an interim measure. Now that's completely changed. I can't help but fume every time his name comes up now, much like Francois Beauchemin.
