Canucks are in danger of doing it again. They were leading 2-0 and now it's 3-3

On a side note, scoring is so f***ing high right now we can't get excited with individual stats anymore.

So you're a PPG dman? Meh.
It is mental for Vancouver right now… stupid mental mistakes. Sometimes the hardest to break.

Yeah we might be entering a new 80s. Last year was crazy, this year is starting stronger. No idea how to judge scoring right now. 40 point defensemen of the past might be 55-60 today.

Looks like the Torts affect is taking full effect in Philly.
He’s a damn good coach… maybe not a guy you want long term, but 2-4 years to set a culture and get a lot better, he seems perfect for that.

Scoring is always high to start the year.

Last year there were only three PPG defenceman. Guys trail off midway through the season. Wait till game 60, or so and see who’s hitting that mark.

If you judge by the first 20, or so games it looks like everyone is popping off.

Last year it started off strong and people said the same… it never dropped off. Iirc it actually increased from mid nov til the end of the season.

The goalie equipment changes have made a huge impact here. NHL got what they wanted.

Yeah scoring will be high again. I’m more talking about individual production. Like there’s probably 20+ PPG defenceman right now. Panarin is averaging 2.5 PPG.

There’s always goofy stuff going on scoring wise to start the season because the sample size is small.

Before tonight's game, JT Miller has been on the ice for 8 of the previous 9 goal against allowed by the Canucks.

I wonder how it went for him tonight...

I mean… it was hyperbole (and in a joking way) and scoring won’t be exact pacing of today (Greer is on his way for Gretzky), but clear we are out of the 3-2 world of years past.we don’t know where it will fall, but entirely possible we are in a new scoring boom.

I have him on my fantasy team. -2 on the ice -1 in the pool lol

Oilers struggling with the Sabres.

Dahlin looks like hes about to go on a run for Norris.

Peterka looks damn good. Were we ever in range to get him?

Krebs is better than Newhook alot of you were right.

How many points he have?

Whenever I see him score goals I think about you @Pokecheque . You gave the Sabres so much shit for the O'reilly trade over the years...

Speaking of Thompsons, this one is for @dahrougem2

Buffalo looks like a really good young team to me.

They still need that elite #1C to really get serious about the future, but they've got a solid foundation of forwards and an elite duo on defense. Dahlin looks fantastic early this year.

They have Thompson, Cozens, Krebs and Mittelstadt down the middle. Even without an elite 1C that should be more than enough.

Add Dahlin and Power at the blue line + Jack Quinn coming up who looks like a future elite winger. That team is f***ing stacked.

I'm not sure if it's Buffalo or Ottawa that have the better up and coming team.

Thank you.

Only three games. Buffalo will crash in mid season.

Matthews only has two points in 4 GP. I find this surprising. Could be Mack's year to compete head-to-head with McDavid
