Rasmus Dahlin with 2 goals 3 assist + 2 and 29.25 and looks like he didn't break a sweat , what a beast

Man, Boston is ridiculous. 31-4-4.
They have no loss yet at home in regulation, it's absolute insanity

Also, these are the things that I didn't expect this year at mid-season:

Winnipeg #8 in the league
Seattle #12 in the league

Yep and look at the ages of their core forwards aside from Pasta they are 34 or older….Avs are not aging out soon by any means.

There's more to it than that, though. Their top-9 is ridiculously stacked. They found a gem in Trent Frederic who is basically Tom Wilson-lite and he plays on the 3rd line with a former league MVP. That's how deep they are.

The Avs were like this last year especially post-TDL when we had the luxury of running Andre Burakovsky on a 3rd line. The Bruins are super deep, and their top guys (up until McAvoy changed things) all take discounted contracts. Though with McAvoy paving the way I feel like Boston's "culture" of cheap deals is finished when Pastrnak needs a new deal this summer.

But yeah, if the Bruins had the same depth issues this season that we do, that core of Bergeron/Marchand/Krejci wouldn't be looking nearly as good.

And yet he is somehow still -4.

This is why the Norris should not be a points based award, and I am not even a +/- guy.
If you’ve watched any SJ games you’d know both their goalies are having disastrous seasons. Plus/minus ratings are WAY more dependent on goalie play than they are the actual skater. I think I read that this will the first season in Reimer’s career where his Sv% won’t be above .900. As much as he’s struggled over the years he still managed to stay above that Mendoza line, and he won’t even make that now.

I agree it should not be points and I’m not advocating he should get the Norris. That said, what Karlsson is doing on an absolutely horrid Sharks team at this stage of his career is positively mind-blowing. If the idiots in Edmonton had half a brain they’d find a way to get him and soon.
