So we should cheer for Winnipeg on Thursday. It'll clinch the playoffs for them and they'll rest all their players against the Avs.
Kinda like the Caps had nothing to play for and have a lineup with all their stars out against the Islanders? Did I get this right?Tomorrow you mean.. WIN vs MIN .. a WIN win would be a double whammy for us. (both WIN and NSH would rest against us if that happened), since NSH would have nothing to play for.
I legit burst into laughter when I saw that. Like how dumb. Post game Suter talked about they have to focus on winning next game lol Did nobody tell this old poop?Nick Ritchie lmao.
How do you leave your top two scorers on the bench during a shootout?
Sutter gon' Sutter, I guess.

Golftown must have some serious deals going onNick Ritchie lmao.

What an awful future outlook for the Flames man.
Weegar making $6.25M until he's 38, about to enter year 1/8 on his contract. Huberdeau making $10.5M until he's 38, entering year 1/8 on his deal. Kadri making $7M until he's 39, entering year 2/7 on his deal. Markstrom making $6M until he's 37, entering year 4/6 on his deal.
Almost $30M tied up in 4 guys that are all either already on the wrong side of 30, or will be within the next year or so... And all are signed into there late 30s still.
That's a team that will be absolute dirt for years, years. Could be a decade long rebuild.
I'm not debating who should win, just stating no one should take anything for granted in the NHL. Avs better show up and expect a battle no matter what the playoff chances are for their opponents. Especially the Preds, they are already playing with nobodies with little chance to get to the playoffs and they still are competing.I like to think we're a little better than the defense only Islanders.
Yes. Even if they catch Winnipeg in points, Winnipeg still has more ROWs. Which is the tiebreaker.Did the Flames get eliminated?
Thanks! I love me Suter, maybe not as a coach, but the bloke is hilarious. Flames need a new direction though, I still think the elements are there for a good team. Not sure if they are good to go to the third round though (even if it was before Gaudreau and Matthew wanting out).Yes. Even if they catch Winnipeg in points, Winnipeg still has more ROWs. I think there is a good chance Jets go 0-2 and Preds go 1-2So now Nashville has to win out and hope the Jets lose out I assume.
What a way to go out.
Flames are weird. I know there’s that saying that “you are what your record says you are” but with them I feel they’re so much better than their record and deserved better.
Then again, Nick Ritchie was just in the shootout so maybe this is what they deserve. Probably need a new coach just because of all the nonsense all season long.
Balls event is on right now. 40% offGolftown must have some serious deals going on
Typical end-of-the-GM-contract parting gift for the Flames too. Treviling signs three huge albatross contracts for three players that all be 30+ next year, and these contracts will hamstring that team for years to come. I will never understand why teams allow GMs in the last year of their contract to make big decisions like this without a board vote or something.Name a more iconic duo than:
