I wonder is Sakic might actually try to acquire Drouin, particularly since he still has some (expensive) term. If Montreal was willing to retain 25 percent? Just speculating on some of the dark horse names out there,

Both Jets beat writers today are saying Colorado the front runners for Copp. Murat Ates of the Athletic and Scott Billeck of the Winnipeg Sun….
I want this to be true but I if the price is steep I hope it gets coupled with Copp signing an extension.

I think the Avs are done with moves. I think Sakic was in on Giroux lost out, but he viewed him as just a bonus. Sakic probably thinks we're good enough and don't need anything else. I think it's a mistake but Sakic tends to fail at the deadline, so not expecting much else.

Curious what the cost would be. I imagine Barron going the other way. Do the Jets have a good RHD in the pipeline? Hell do they have one on the main roster? Everyone I can think of on their blueline is LHD.

I will be very very very upset if Joe is done. I personally dont think hes done. Losing out on Giroux aint great. Joe will get someone next 48.

This was supposed to be a buyer's market. In the end Vancouver and Montreal look like they're taking their pieces off the table, Arizona and NYI have done nothing much yet.
