All this whining in here. You can’t just LTIR Landeskog if he’s going to come back before the playoffs and it’s not like it’s cap space preventing them from making a move. Giroux didn’t want to go anywhere but Florida so stop ******ing, we made a better offer than Florida.

Give me a break on Florida winning the cup, you all make it sound like they’re some dynasty, they haven’t won a playoff series since 1996, yea let’s model after the least successful franchise in the league.

That could work but would also weaken the bottom 6 depth. Then you're looking at Newhook, Burakovsky and Sturm 3rd line, or Nichushkin drops to 3rd line, but If they LTIR Landeskog and get Kane, they can keep JTC as bottom 6 depth because by getting Kane Sakic won't be able to add anyone else. Or they can trade JTC for a bottom 6 upgrade. Landy LTIR just gives more options
 
I just want Crouse. He’s so hard to play against. Like so hard. Imagine we actually make the finals and it’s against a team like Florida. Imagine those guys having to face the likes of Crouse and Manson night after night after already having to grind through Tampa. It will make life hell on opposition.

Ya. I would trade as much for Crouse as I would have for Giroux.

Even if they don't intend on using Landeskog's LTIR capspace they're still gonna need him (and Girard) to go on LTIR to open up a couple of roster spots so they don't need to send anyone out. After the deadline there's no roster size limit so they can re-activate Landeskog and Girard again, but they'll need those roster spaces freed up tomorrow if they want to add. If they don't put Landeskog and/or Girard on LTIR they'd have to operate on a one-in, one-out policy.

Christ, the Crouse obsession on this board is something else :laugh: There isn't even any evidence to suggest he's available -- actually, I think all reports have said the opposite...that Arizona wants to keep him.

Seravalli said Friday chatter has picked up around him. He also stated about 3 weeks ago that the asking price was a 1st and a roster player.

I think there was at some point, but nothing lately. It would take legit assets, and I think most realize that.
 
The more I think about Girard the more I want him gone. He is an absolute liability during the yoffs and I don’t even think Manson would be able to save him. What does everyone think about Girard + for Mayfield or similar?

Unless you have a source I'm not aware of, Canada is amending their testing requirements for travel but if you're unvaccinated you're still not allowed to travel to Canada, that much isn't changing as far as I know.
