They’ll charge you ~$30 per month for hockeytv.com, luckily there are some alternatives. I’m surprised Switzerlands SRF won’t be broadcasting games. Will scan my satellite feeds to see if any other channels will show any of the games.

They say that NHL Network will have the games, but I just chequed their schedule and absolutely no games are on tomorrow, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Are they lying?

Just curious.. Canada normally doesn't send their best team to U18... (best players in playoffs for CHL)... is this a stacked team Canada?

Also, I feel like Belarus is improving at the junior level... am I crazy here?

No, you are not crazy. Belarus at U18 level is a force to be reckoned with for couple of years already. They are churning out plenty of good players and their U18 team playing in senior league the whole year that gives them solid advantage against other similar strength teams.

This is what USA hockey says:

All games will be available in the U.S. execpt those airing on NHL Network, which are expected to include the quarterfinal, semifinal and medal round games
Maybe it’s just last 7 games then.
Funny that i checked TSN’s schedule and couldnt find any listings as well.

Can't wait for this thing to start. So many tremendous players right across the board. Really looking forward to a first look at the Russians as well as the USA. Goes without saying that I want Canada to win but I think it a pretty tall order due to a lack of playing time this year. Hard to project the final standings in a short round robin style tournament because of the nature of the beast but I think that the USA and Russia might play for Gold with Canada taking Bronze.

Think NHL Network will only start covering during the quarterfinal round. In the US, prelim round is streamed on HockeyTV.com

I feel like they had a really exciting team last time I saw them and they were very competive.

There it is. 2 years ago.. beat my Czechs and Finland. Finished 2nd in pool. It was a strange tourney because Canada beat them 11-0 and Russia beat them 6-0 in Quarters.

Good luck!

The hockeytv thing is a bit upsetting as you have to sign up for a month to get 4 matches in my case. Eg. I live in Canada and have TSN and they are broadcasting quarters, semis and finals. I just want the 4 Czech preliminary games.

Russia - Belarus game scared me a little, but yes these Byelorussian teams now have chemistry advantage. Who is the favorite to win, USA?

I'v gone through EPGs of these European Channels, that usually has rights for U20/U18 & usual Worlds broadcasting rights.
Safe to say only hockeyTV is the only place to watch the games (or any random game)

Sport1 (German) - no games
SRF 2/Sport (Swiss) - no games
TV4 / TV10 (Swedish) - no games (IIHF says svenskhockey.tv,but i can't find anything relatable there)
CT Sport (Czech) - no games
LTV7 (Latvian) - no games
Belarus 5 (Belarusian) - no games

If i'm wrong, someone can correct me on games broadcasted on above countries.

This cold be due to championship being in US and it's middle of the night in Europe, thus noone would be staying up that late to watch the games.

As @Gold Standard mentioned, TSN schedule is here:
Canadian Hockey on TSN Schedule - TSN.ca

For Sweden:

svenskhockey.tv will have Sweden's games here: https://www.svenskhockey.tv/sv/content/landslag

SVT will have semis/finals depending on if Sweden is playing in them or not.

OK I just bought KartinaTV for a month, but it seems that MatchTV in Russia will only show Team Russia's games in the prelims.

My predictions to U18 WJC's this year.

Medal teams
Gold Canada
Silver USA.
Bronze Finland

Top players
Top Goalie Braden Holt USA
Top Defenseman Brandt Clarke Canada
Top Forward Brad Lambert Finland.

Well, it might be even worse. I only see Russia - USA game in the listings.
Yeah,i found the same thing when i was checking their schedule.

I even checked ROSSIJA1 & SPORT1 (RUS) tv listings, just in case and nothing there either.
I got a feeling that ratings for U18 is just not there and maybe IIHF asks too much for broadcasting rights for it to pay off.
