2-1 USA. Gilmartin with the goal. Goalie made the save on I believe it was Savage, and Gilmartin was there to score the rebound. USA is matching up their shutdown line against the Lysell line. The American line got the better of that shift. They completely out worked the Swedes.

3-1 USA. They scored a third right after the second. This one on the PP. They had a lot of pressure on this PP. The goalie had made an important save on Duke earlier in the shift, but it looks like Duke got a goal later in the shift. I thought it was Cooley with a backhand in the slot, but maybe it hit Duke or he tapped it in on the goal line.

Swedes have been very undisciplined. They are taking a lot of penalties, but also the penalty calls on both teams in this game have been very soft. IIHF officiating. These kids gotta get accustomed to it.

USA defense has been really good. I also like how the Swedish defense is playing. I’ve been disappointed in the forwards. A lot of no shows so far today among the forwards on both teams.

Just curious.. Canada normally doesn't send their best team to U18... (best players in playoffs for CHL)... is this a stacked team Canada?

Also, I feel like Belarus is improving at the junior level... am I crazy here?

A lot closer to a full strength team then you would normally see. Probably missing a couple players from the Q is it really.
