Agree.

12 game sample size isn't much better. So determining Steeves NHL career based on 12 games playing 4th. line minutes is ridiculous. And those 12 games were spread over 4 years with zero opportunity to get comfortable.

Obviously, when Leafs injured come back something has to change to become Cap compliant.

Robertson requires waivers, so he's safe, or traded.

My whole argument is Steeves should be fighting for a spot at best... no issue there.

I think we agree, I just push back on the Steeves has earned anything... he's earned being the first call up.

I haven't said his career is over because he's been bad the majority of his short NHL career (12 games is not enough), just that we should pump the breaks because for the majority of his career, he didn't perform like last night.

Honestly, Leafs need more players making peanuts to compensate for their overpaid 1st. liners.

Robertson could be one, but he has work to do.

I hoped he'd bring more sandpaper to the game. Be more like Brendan Gallagher.
That style though has really impacted Gallagher, and he's half the player he used to be.

I'm hoping he goes on a tear and makes himself valuable at the deadline.

He used to play more physical but he’s smaller always got injured he doesn’t play as soft as the other wingers though

I’ve really liked his forechecking and tenacity. Wonderful to have a 4th line that’s not a black hole. Kampf actually looks decent when playing with speedy wingers—like we all knew two years ago.

He looks like a different player this time around. I’ve never been a big fan of his, but I like this version and if he brings it like this every night, then I wouldn’t mind him having a permanent spot.

Nylander and Kadri didn't need the AHL, especially Nylander and everybody knew that while he was down there, he was only down there because the Leafs were tanking Nylander was more then good enough to be on that team.

Leo Komarov was an all star and you think Nylander needed the AHL? no he didn't
They both absolutely needed the AHL. Nylander didnt know how to play on small ice and Kadri looked like a baby deer falling all over the place.

Someone wasn't paying attention.
