I think it's close if you look at peak core (Donaldson, Bautista, Encarnacion vs Springer, Guerrero, Bichette) but I think top-to-bottom this lineup can have that era beat. You add in Semien, Hernandez, Grichuk, Biggio and the potential for Gurriel and Jansen to play up to their ability and you would theoretically have a lineup with no weak points.
I think they have better ability to hit for average too, which might help them in a playoff series.

Weak points? Best not be talking about Ben Revere or Chris Colabello.

I'm excited too, but maybe they could pump the brakes on Manoah just a little bit? He's got less than 20 innings in AAA and less than 40 innings of pro baseball overall.

Maybe we give him a few more weeks to show he can sustain his ability to carve up AAA hitters before they start penciling him into the Jays lineup?

Nothing good comes from bringing up a high-hype pitcher before he's ready. Look at what's gone on with Pearson so far, and he similarly had <20 AAA IP, albeit with over 120 IP of overall minor league work before his call-up.

Buck is saying Manoah was supposed to start today assuming he meant the Bisons game, but thats Ryu's spot so they pushed him back to tomorrow. It seems like Manoah will make 1 more start and then bring him up.

I'm with you. Things are getting a bit carried away

Please Charlie, don't use the one relief pitcher in the pen I trust in a 6 run game.

Chatwood will now pitch the last 2 innings to make sure the Jays get the W, dont worry thou, Mayza should be well rested for Tommorow and Thursday's game.
