I don't think Ross Stripling is the answer to our prayers.

Maybe Ray holds up, Maybe Matz holds up, Maybe Pearson can string together some quality starts. It was just very reckless to enter what should have been a window year with this much uncertainty.

How would you have solved it? Bauer didn't really have any interest in coming to Toronto.

I've lost patience with Jansen. A lot of people say he's just waiting to break out, but the eye test just doesn't match that at all.

And management is reaping what they sow with the lack of quality starting pitching acquisitions in the offseason.

The Jansen is unlucky stuff eventually wears out 3 years later. Maybe he just isn't a good hitter luck or not?

Are you not supposed to look where you are pitching? The Royals pitcher wasn't even looking on that wild pitch.

Yeah, at some point the BABIP argument doesn't match the continued poor performance.

It’s weird because when he was first called up - after raking in the minors - he looked as advertised. Lots of hard contact, looked like a future stud.

But since it’s just progressively more and more soft contact. And it isn’t like an Arencibia thing where he can’t hit a breaking ball - the approach seems fine, he takes a fair few walks, but it’s like he’s lost all his strength and pop.

He's a bigger guy to so you would think he can hit the ball fairly hard.

He seems to be having issues hitting fastballs as well.

It's been even more frustrating for me to watch this year. He's 2nd in the league in pitches seen per plate appearance for players with at least 25 plate appearances. Every count gets to 3-2 and then he strikes out or pops up. 3 ball counts should be your best look at a good pitch to hit.

Probably needs a complete retooling of his swing in a offseason at this point. It's been getting progressively worse year over year.

Also when is the last time Roark had back to back 3 up/3 down innings? lol.
