I am just hoping for a Yankee and Sox loss. This game will be a loss for us, just get the f*** out of Tampa and forget about it.
 
Really feels like the coaches didn't gameplan this well at all. Went with the worst possible combination of bats. Could have used Hatch as a bulk start, spot start, or have the plan be to make Stripling follow him.

Yep. They are also trying to play Rays baseball but are not the Rays.

Like I said, this game is a loss, just hope the Red Sox and Yanks lose.

Tampa is not losing today.

Yep. I knew it was a loss the second Ryu was hurt (he has been bad but is still a great pitcher) and we needed to go to a makeshift start. The Rays FEAST on that shit if you don't gameplan perfectly.

The next thing was the bottom of the lineup, the combination of both of these plus the Trop is a no win.

This will prob be a blowout.

Game is over already. Yankees and sox will likely win. But have 7 games against minny and baltimore and sox and nyy play each other. Need to win at least 5 of those games

Not sure when, but eventually Tampas system will stop working. No team in the history of sport is good forever, when that happens I will have a f***ing party to celebrate their downfall and hopeful relocation.
 
If the gameplan going in was to get 5 innings from Merryweather - Stripling - Saucedo then turn it over to the real relievers then they might as well have just forfeited.

Giving it to Pearson who long term they still see as a starter might have been the play here. Yes he hasn't been good but you still gotta see what you have with him and he's been a starter his whole career basically.

If Pearson is on his game he can be as good as anyone in MLB and can get you 5 or 6 inning. If he's off is it any different than your Bullpen day gameplan?

Rays got 6 more innings of their pen. This is fair from over with these bats, make them waste arms.

Stretching out a pitcher is a very real thing, though. Pearson isn't stretched out so the best they could hope for was probably 2 innings. The easiest move would have been to go with Hatch, aim for 3-4 innings, hope to get another 2 Stripling, then roll in Pearson, Merryweather, etc. for the rest of the game. Best case scenario is they've only given up a couple of runs before the flame throwers come in and by then you are 6 innings in anyway. Roll with Jansen and Grichuk and with Lamb as the weakest link and you've given your team the best chance to win. It's predictable but that's fine for one day.
 
If you can't challenge foul ball is Cash saying they can't change the call to foul tip on the review so if they say it didn't hit Choi the only thing they can call is ball so this review is going to result it it being a ball?
 
Crappy game, but going 3-3 against the Rays over the past two weeks is decent.

After tonight's freebie, the Yankees final nine games are in Boston, in Toronto, and home against Tampa.
 
blue jays will lose this series because their approach at the plate has been horrible. Swinging at so many bad pitches basically bailing out these rays pitchers. So many bad swings!!!!

Probably swinging at everything because the strike zone has been everywhere.
