It's not ideal, but 500 against Tampa is pretty much what you hope for against a great team. The series against NY is where the Jays really need to outperform. If they can't win there, then they weren't going to beat anyone in the playoffs anyway.

Looks to me like Borucki was aiming at Kiermaier. His head was looking outwards and locked that way for the entire wind up, like he was trying to keep his gaze locked on his target. Normally when pitchers are aiming for the catcher their heads are slanted inwards.

Just watching the exchange. Montoyo and especially Buck Martinez was embarrassing during the whole thing. Buck saying the Jays should be embarrassed. He didn't head hunt, no injury intentions just a message, and he was ok with the consequences.

I'm fine with Borucki getting tossed. Everyone knows it was on purpose and that needs to be the standard but some silly you can't toss someone before warnings as long as that's the standard they consistently take. As long as it's obviously. The Manoah one early in the year was a travesty.

Did Walker get tossed automatically as a result of the Borucki ejection(that's usually the manager), or did he go off and then get tossed? I got a feeling he was more pissed about the strike zone all series than the Borucki ejection and had an excuse to go off about it.

No to mention basically letting the umpires screw us over in game 1 and 2. It's okay to get ejected. Remember that John Gibbons graphic for 1 week. Served a 3 game suspension and got ejected 3 times.

But it really was one of the easiest ejections ever. It is tough to get a more obvious intentional throwing incident.
